we have too many "generous" players , grafter , fighter , call them as you like , that unfortunally lack class

to many ? who are they then ?

hart , zabaleta , barry , milner , garcia , clichy , richards , this people all are lovable guys and its a pain to say that they are not good enough , but it is just the truth.

and i dont even consider the pure squad players like sinclair rodwell kolo toure etc

surely not serious, not good enough for what ? you just named 6 players that won the league last year 5 of them played in a team that beat united 6-1 at old trafford ? ill ask again not good enough for what/who ?, if joe harts not good enough who would you have, dont know how old you are but im 34 and clichy is the best left back ive seen play for us, so dont think any team could ever live up to your expectations

Anyone else notice how dangerous we became when, in desperation, we started throwing long balls up?
While I have no faith in the long-ball game, at least it adds pace to our attack which gives our strikers a better chance.
If we could play more directly more often, (cut out the slow build-up) we'd do better.
(Excuse me if this has been covered earlier - I haven't read the whole thread.)

Honestly I think that's something the manager wants to address. He's tried to get a deep-lying passer who can set our forwards off on runs for the past two years. Should have dropped a fucking mint for De Rossi.

Nah mate, Carlos ran his socks off and I reckon Bob had told him to do that and he would be hooked after 65 mins.

Saying that though, Dzeko did fook all for his 25/30 mins on the pitch.....

Tevez looks burned out to me. He is almost 29. he best day are behind him. he cant play all the time IMO.

i concour, smells very raggy, tev's got more drive in him than any of our attacking players the last few games, was never the fastest but gives 100% never lets defenders have a moment, defends from the front and comes back more than nasri most games to help out, and in my opinion was a huge factor in clawing back the 8 points at the end of last season...taking him off on 65mins when he's our biggest threat is a little baffling however? say waht ya want about him off the pitch but when he's on it, i'd rather have him playing in blue!

how would u describe nastasic's display today?? i thought he was pretty good with alot of interceptions. though i can only find in player ratings that he conceded the corner from which they scored. in another rating they tell he may be the next savic(??). i only want to know what did u make out of him today.

for his age, total class in my opinion, and his use of the ball is excellent. no way can you put him and richard ashcroft in the same bracket, he was truely shocking

I'm honestly amazed by how cool this 19yo kid is on the ball. With that kind of composure, together with what's been said above, I think we might have a future world class CD on our hands. A fantastic piece of business.

Yet when we take a corner all the players are static around the middle of the 6 yard box and you never know where the ball will end up.

Do we ever practice taking or defending corners?

Strange game, Ajax dominated us in the 1st half and parts of the 2nd yet we should have won by at least 2 goals had the officiating been up to scratch..

One other thing, Yaya man of he match? How? Apart from his goal which was a cracker don't get me wrong I thought he was one of the poorest out there, couldn't seem to keep the ball anywhere near his feet :/

Not sure where this has come from? If you use your arms to make yourself bigger and the ball hits your arm - unintentionally or not - then it's a penalty. The intention is putting your arm in a position it doesn't need to be in.

Feel like the referee as cheated us but i cant blame him for the shocking defending from a corner yet again.When are we going to learn from are basic mistakes its shocking and Mancini and is coaching staff need to sort it out.Another moan is why everybody says we miss Dejong we dont he wasnt a regular last season.Javi Garcia needs to start earning is money coz he looks like a non league player at this moment.
