City Vs AjaxPost Game Discussion Thread

We should have rightly beaten Ajax the other day and had a draw Madrid until the final kick. At worst a Europa birth was in the offing but even in this form, City were so very close to being competitive in the toughest group in the Champions League.

I support Mancini and know he will deliver next season in the Champs league you watch. Mancini is a winner.

Just seen the 60-second highlights on mcfc.co.uk. At the end, Balotelli goes down, ref gives a loud blast on the whistle, and I reckon the assistant is just about to put his flag across his chest to signal a penalty when he realises the ref has blown for full time.

You gotta admit long balls to Balo worked, Ajax couldn't deal with it.
If you provide that kind of service to Balo he often does damage with them. He has fantastic movement around the box.

He can flick it on like we saw v Ajax and provide a chance for Aguero or he can score.
A few examples;
Goal v Germany... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Q3xEYRL8sDg#t=99s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 8sDg#t=99s</a>

Goal v Villa <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=n_V_1lHZKqQ#t=77s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... ZKqQ#t=77s</a>

If we could have someone like a Pirlo/Pizarro/Montilivo in our team on a full time basis Balotelli would be devastating I think.
