Name me an Ajax player who would get in our team. They are poor. I don't think we played well tonight. In fact I think it was our worse performance at home this seaon except Villa. And that's not because Ajax played well. they couldn't keep the ball and continually lost it any time we put them under pressure. I am coming to the opinion that City collectively have a mental hang up about playing in the Champions League and it's omething only a few wins will address. Nothing to do with the quality of our game or the tactics of the manager. It's just something that we have to get from experience
Blind, SCHÖNE(mint player!), Erikson and de Jong would be great additions to our squad.
In our squad, and get rid of who?

All of them! Replace our entire squad with the Ajax squad. We'd come about 9th in the prem but at least we'd snatch third place in the CL group.

The ref was indeed very shit. He made nearly as many mistakes as our defence.

The point is we would've won if the ref had made the right calls. Yes we defended the corners poorly but the ref is paid to make the right calls. He had one job and he failed miserably.

but is it not also the point we would of won if we had defended properly ? surely one is not more relevant than the other

Yes we probably would have. BUT that doesnt change the fact the ref made some very poor decisions. It doesnt matter if you let 2 goals in if you then go ahead and score 3 (which we did). The ref cost us the game....not the defending.

I don't know who we'd get rid of. I'd rather nkt get rid of anyone. We had 14 players partaking in training on Monday because everyone else is injured.

Schöne would have got into our midfield tonight ahead of Barry and Garcia. He closes down and keeps the ball all at pace.

did braga go 2 up at old trafford ? last team that were not 'good' do that please ? cant remember score v cluj, if you can watch Ajax tonight passing moving closing us down and dont think there a good team i really am shocked, also who were last mid tabble team to beat us 3-1 and get a draw at are place ? only ONE team got a draw v us at home last year and you dont think Ajax are GOOD, earlier you said they they only went through cos city panicked they were 2-0 down, just have a think about that for a minute

well i would have any of there 3 midfield players, the ones who were keeping the ball under pressure and finding space and a man all away v the english champions over barry garcia rodwell
We played very poorly in my view yet still out played them for 90 mins. Two set-piece goals and some bad refereeing denied us a win. Totally self-inflicted. Doubly annoying to drop points against a team who we'd thrash most weeks if they were in Premiership shirts

Absolutely shocking defending and not for the first time! Whoever is responsible for whatever fucked up system we are supposedly using to defend needs sacking now!! New so called defensive coach???...FAIL!!!

It has been crap nearly all season and no men on each post from corners???

To go 2-0 down in any game leaves a lot to do,all that having been said the officials were shocking!Far too leniant as we were hacked again and again.Clear goal and an even clearer penalty.....as someone said OT both would have been given. Please let us now come bottom and stay out of the Europa league!

What was Aguero wearing as well....ice skates???

It was only really in the second half the team showed some professional fight and guts that they should have shown from the first whistle. We seem to daydream through games at times.Wake up!!!

The sooner we are put out of our misery and can concentrate on the league and cup the better now.

My own sentiments to Paul.Don`t know about ice skates,I thought he had slippers on.

I'd say it was the ther way round. It's about time we take responsibility for our own downfalls. We all know the refs can be poor and sometimes inept...defending from Yaya for their second goal was criminal.

tbh any player who can come here and score two and could of scored 5 could probably just about get in front of garcia.

Yeah I agree our defending was shit from the corners....I'm not trying to say any different. Its just my opinion that the ref was the main reason we didnt win. But yes we have to be more urgent when defending the corners....I'm not a fan of the zonal marking.

Unfortunately that player also needs to defend.

Why?
For every goal that we'd concede, he'd make us three. Quality forwards like ours would think that they'd died and gone to heaven with the chances he'd provide and they would be clear chances, not snatched half-chances from the middle of a crowd of defenders.

We would do o.k. with just one DM as long as our defence was properly organised and coached.
You do get that De Rossi is a DM, yes? He also happens to be an excellent passer. So your solution is to install Stephen Ireland as our DM?

Nope, as I say, we'd manage with one DM. Ireland would play in front of him, as playmaker. Feed him and he would create fast, effective attacks.
As good as De Rossi is, I've never seen a a player with better passing vision than Ireland in a Blue shirt and I've been following City for a very long time . Take him for what he is and he would transform our team.
