Manchester City FC are delighted to announce the final first-team pre-season fixture ahead of the 2013/14 campaign will be against Arsenal in Helsinki on Saturday, 10 August.

The ‘Super Match by Carlsberg’ will kick-off at 5pm local time at the 40,000-capacity Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital and will be the final game of the Blues’ pre-season.

It is the first time two Premier League clubs have met in Finland and ticket prices will start from €29.

City played Arsenal as part of the 2012/13 pre-season tour of Asia in the Bird’s Nest Arena, China.

City’s Chief Executive Officer Ferran Soriano said: "This is the perfect way to end our pre-season preparations before the 2013/14 campaign begins.

"We know Arsenal will provide our team with a very competitive match and we are looking forward to what should be a memorable occasion to close a pre-season tour that also sees us visit South Africa, Hong Kong and Germany.

"Helsinki is a fantastic city and we are excited about playing in front of our many Finnish City supporters in a country where we know there is such passion for English football.”

Tickets go on sale from 9am Monday 10 June 2013 via <a class="postlink" href="http://www.lippu.fi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.lippu.fi</a>

Is it gonna cost the price of a season ticket to get to this match? MCFC are delighted, and I know that as a global brand with 670 million fans, oh, er, just went into FakeManchester mode then, but when are we gonna get back to a decent Thomas Cook Trophy match at The Etihad?

Never done so much as a UK-based friendly before but sorely tempted to do it, just for the experience. Someone persuade me quickly, before I get cold feet and decide to protect my wallet :/

You really would be mad if you ask me.

I've been to friendlies at places as close as Oldham and Rochdale and sworn blind I'd never go to another friendly again as I left.

If you want to go abroad watching city hang on a few weeks and go to a champions league game. That's my advice.

No disrespect meant to anyone going of course.

Do it do it do it do it do it keep telling yourself that I did go on do it do it.......
