Slightly lost in the fall-out from "permutation-gate" vs Bayern Munich...
...I detected a number of positive things for City:

- players who have not been starting games (Dzeko / Milner / Hart etc) stepping up with very motivated performances
- a desire to retrieve a "lost" game that was not in evidence earlier in the season
- a reminder of how talented David Silva is...and how much he adds creatively to our game

This doesn't necessarily translate into an automatic win v Arsenal...but it bodes well for the rest of the season

Arsenal have fluffed their lines so far this season in their biggest games: Utd (a) Everton (h) Napoli (a)
...but I do feel they are much more threatening with Walcott in the team.

Someone ( I think it was in cricket) once said something like:
..you should always do what the opposition least want you to do.
I think Mertesacker hates mobility + pace...so I would start with Nasri / Silva / Navas ....behind Aguero.
(with Milner / Negredo / Dzeko on bench)

I like this. Negredo could always bully their 2 cb's as a sub if fatigue does start to set in for Arsenal in the later stages.

Hey, as long as the Arsenal side that shows up is the same one that played the Rags. How that shower of shite beat them is beyond me. Didnt we have an away Euopean game the week we thumped the Rags 6-1 @ The Swamp????

yeh, I think old toilet and the other stadium we played in are my favourite away grounds now

Happens to me every big game, but I'm getting more and more nervous for this game by the day.

This is a must win game for the lads and they will be up for it, make no mistake. We are like a steam train that has slowly been building up momentum and now we're up to speed. Our new additions have slotted in well, camaraderie is sky high and we've now got players back from injury that we have really missed a la Kompany and Silva. We have the most potent strike force in the Premier League and wide players and full backs that can attack and defend in equal measures. Add to that a man mountain in midfield who always rises to the occasion in big games and supported by a Brazilian supreme athlete who is now perfectly in tune with the tempo and strength of the Premier League. Now tell me, who should be worrying about the game......... I'll give you a clue, it's not the team in blue, no more typical City. We are a machine and no one is stopping us now the wheels are turning. Come on you blue boys.

It will be tight. Always is vs arse. Cautiously optimistic but I think we can live with a draw. Don't see many goals, too much at stake and I think it will show. Please prove me wrong and thump'em.

Big questions on who will play all over the park.

If pelly gets them right we win.

Hart/Pants
Kolarov/Clichy
Lescott/Dem
Silva/Nasri/Navas - only 2 will start unless going one up top.

The Beast seems to have lost sharpness, poor at Soton and not on fire in Munich. Hopefully hell be back firing at 100%.

I'm expecting Wenger to moan about travelling after the match. Was it last season we had away games after all our CL matches?

To be honest they are a bit tight on time but they are coming from Italy not the other side if the world.

If he does use that excuse at least he'll be more creditable than 'appy 'arry who moaned about playing in the Europa after we did Pompy 6-0 saying they were tired after playing ' in Europe', they played a home the same time we were in Schalke.

Rambling on a bit. City to win by 3 or 4 clear goals.

I always prefer to be cautiously optimistic about our chances. Pre-Southamptom most of us are were saying we would win by a huge margin due to their injuries, and we drew..then we went on to beat Bayern Munich at their home with our B-team!! what a roller-coaster ride this season is...going to be difficult to predict the scoreline on Saturday.
Le Arse plays the same pressing (and passing) game as Southampton, but on a different level, do they not? Hope MP has planned something to counter their tactics..they being very tired from the last game and the apparent fear of teams coming to the Etihad stadium, I hope, will work in our favor..
any sort of win, even a scrappy one, and i'd be very happy :)

btw, i hope Nasri and Silva play together in this game, really would like to see the performance they would deliver when they're both at their best..
