I have that odd feeling as if we were going to play a semi final's first leg.
The team that wins home & away confrontations will top the league come the end of the season.
Yet, my confidence is unusually through the roof, which i'm not used to as a Blue.

Clash of the Titans

There has been a lot of talk about super teams recently. Teams that are better a level above everyone else. Teams that everyone would absolutely avoid playing. Teams such as Bayern Munich. But something strange happened last night, something you don't see very often. Bayern Munich were defeated by a weakened Manchester City side who came from 2-0 down to win the match 3-2. Of course the match was a dead rubber for both as they were both qualified but what City did was nothing short of impressive. But then then an Arsenal team last year achieved the similar feat. Why is all of this relevant? It is because of what it means in terms of aftermath. Arsenal that time went on undefeated for the next few months winning games after games. Similarly Manchester City knows that on their day they can match the elite teams. At home they are far far more devastating compared to away. We saw that against United and Tottenham where they put 9 goals against them. We are probably playing City at the worst of times. Their morale is high, their form is impeccable and their team has gelled incredibly well.

Approach

Arsenal do have the best away form in the league. We don't often lose on the road, in fact we have only lost twice all season if you include last night's result. On the other hand, City have the best home record. It's a very interesting clash but the question is how do we approach this game? We rested Ramsey and Wilshere against Napoli and Walcott has not actually start a match since like forever. Those 3 are the freshest players we have atm. Followed by Monreal who is more than capable of starting at LB if Gibbs is fatigued which looks like the case. Cazorla might see the bench who hasn't been in dazzling form. But Wilshere on the left? we know that never works. Left wing is a problematic area and if we start a pivot of Flamini-Arteta than Ramsey can go at CAM with Ozil at LW which isn't the best of options but the most feasible one. But then, i won't be surprised if Walcott is on the bench yet again.

For City, Richards is out. Everyone else is fit.
