City vs Bayern (Friendly) - Post Match Thread

the things is that squad in the usa is made up of almost the youth and a couple of first team players but the youth players will have to be put back in the box for now, its sad that we will have to let most of them go on loan this season and only 2 or 3 will be kept in the first team squad, but its shown they are good enough to be a big part of the squad for this season and i don't know the rules about the final 25 man squad and your youth players, but i think you can add most of them if you like so maybe we can keep them in and around the first team squad and training camps

An excellent performance by our youngsters. Irrespective of the result, they showed so much more ability then I've seen before, at this level.
Just shows what a manager CAN do, if he has the interest in youngsters.

Zinchenko and Garcia played very well, both very composed and controlled in possession and they kept the game flowing with their vision and passing.I also thought Luiz and Foden looked much better than their previous outings, the former putting himself about while beginning some decent moves and the latter being far more creative and dangerous in his approach play.

I have a suspicion Bernabe will be a star,17 years old.....but he looks to have everything in his locker in terms of ability and attitude.

I was impressed with his cameo.

Between Eric Garcia and Bernabe I can see why Barca supporters are upset with their board. How are they letting these kids walk away for nothing?

What a brilliant performance against a strong Bayern team. I am very optimistic for the long-term future with these young players. Foden looked superb and what prospects we have with Garcia and Bolton. That said I think our opening games will be very tough because our stars will be undercooked. I would take a draw against Arsenal and Wolves now.
As the season progresses we will get stronger and stronger and what strength we have in depth with the youngsters. Meanwhile Bernardo was fantastic again. No wonder Pep wants to stay longer.

Things aren't quite right upstairs at Barcelona, which I believe is a turnoff for some of these youngsters. But also money.
