City vs Bayern (Friendly) - Post Match Thread

I was in the Allianz last time we came back from 2 down against Bayern.
A very good team performance by the youngsters
So was I and very pissed from the bier Keller too.
Thought the boys tonight were outstanding against Ribery Robben and Koman who are a very stiff test against anyone.
Pep must be very proud. I certainly was.

Be nice to see if any of the lads make the big step for next weekend, with all the first teamers coming back also.Pity about Foden and hope he recovers quickly.
I am very much hoping both Mahrez and Foden were knocks and they will be fine next week.

We need both at the start of (and throughout) the season.

Garcia is special.

Positioning, composure, decisionmaking, he has the attributes at 17 that you can't really learn later in your career - and in the rare cases that a player does it usually doesn't materialise until your late 20's (eg. Vertonghen)

More good performances from the kids however I don't think anybody in positions where there's potential openings in the squad have looked at the required level.

Gomes, Luiz and Zinchenko have all had time in the anchor midfield role, all have done good things at various moments but all have been shown wanting numerous times too, wouldn't be comfortable with any of them stepping in in a big league game, and at left back zinchenko has been woeful defensively.

Bolton and Eric Garcia I would say have been the two standout kids this pre season as a whole, both can consider themselves unfortunate that were so well stocked in their positions. Nmecha done well too, he could get a good cup run if he isn't loaned out.

Think it's very clear Roberts has no future here, barely got time on the pitch and seems way down the pecking order, Tosin seems to be in a similar position too.

Nothing anybody could do about it but it's a concern we've effectively finished pre season yet you could name a potential starting 11 for Arsenal that haven't even started pre season yet whilst they've got pretty much everyone back and looking sharp. Going to be a very tough test, vital we use the Chelsea game to setup with something close to who Pep wants to start against Arsenal.
Congratulations on having the most depressing take on our 21s beating Bayerm Munich from 2-0 down

I`ve said all along that Pep will be here longer than 5 years.I still stand by that.
He must be so exited for the future of our club.
been thinking that myself, some of the players weve signed aint gonna mature for 4/5 maybe 6 years and im convinced hes gonna want to see it all come to fruition

Feared the worst at 0-2.
Pulling one back just before half time gave me hope.
In the end the better team won.
Some great performances by stars of the future and a lot of self belief and grit shown when the chips were down.
The future is blue.
Buzzing!

That's what we're all praying for I think. In 2021 the lads to break through will be 21-23, so hopefully he decides to finish what he starts.
....or else hands off the new generation to the coach who has been with him (and them) the whole time?!

Arteta appears to be being groomed for it, doesn’t he?
