City Vs Borussia Dortmund (CL) Post Match Thread

Playing Nasri and Silva in Europe does NOT work.

Rodwell is abysmal, all he does is do assists for the other side. The decision to sell De Jong at the moment is looking shocking.

mancini is actually clueless. to have rodwell in the team over either milner or barry is criminal. nasty over lescott is worse and as for letting de jong go for garcia is plain madness.

hart fantastic.

the bottom line though is we also had our chances and had rodwell not been colour blind the pen would have won it for us.

Play Milner

My Sentiments exactly

Mancini was brave today and I believe played the right players and brought the right player on ie Balotelli instead of Tevez. The cowardly and easy thing to do would be to play Lescott and bring Milner on, because of the pressure from the fans and imagine the board. If he had been cowardly things would have been worse. Did you see what Dortmund's pressing did to Kompany and Toure? Now think for a minute just how much better they are technically than Lescott and Milner. Playing them would have been suicide, but the easy option.

Just in case nobody has heard yet Wayne Rooney tweeted about Hart being the best goalkeeper in the world.

Let me just repeat that again just in case nobody has heard yet Wayne Rooney tweeted about Hart being the best goalkeeper in the world.

Sky seem to want to mention it at every opportunity even telling Mancini in his post match interview. It's probably on the breaking news ticker tape right now.

So once again in case you didn't know yet let me just repeat it that Wayne Rooney tweeted about Hart being the best goalkeeper in the world.

Did sky keep repeating about Wayne Rooney's tweet last year about the Toure brothers?

Did sky tell Fergurson in one of his post match interviews about Wayne Rooney teeting about the Toure brothers?

Fuck the fat scouse bald bastard and fuck his tweets and FUCK OFF talking about him and concentrate reporting about City when it's a City game your showing.

FUCK OFFFFFF!!!

When did this happen? I must have missed it the first 15 times, they should have told us again for those like me who didn't hear them say it.

Also, it was like we were in Germany for the pre match/half time/full time discussions. Why did they have a German player and two idiots talking? I suppose it's an improvement on Dwight Yorke talking about us though.

what an embarassement.
the entire performance was so poor, lack of confidence, good passing, pressing, concepts.
no wonder, man city did not succeed in euroleague last year. in my opinion manchini had virtually no plan at all how to bring the germans down. only dortmund delivered tonight...oh i am so dissapointed!!!

Both sides had plenty of chances. It could easily have beeb 5-5.

I don't know how we came away with something , because i'm none too sure that was even a penalty ....... no wonder Dortmund are pissed off!
We've had softer ones given against us (Micah at Klanfield last season springs to mind), but I agree with you. It was never a penalty. The defender was barely a yard away from Kun when he shot.

I think it was a pen. The defender went running towards Kun with his arms outstretched. The ball struck his arm and deliberate or not he controlled the ball with his arm.

Had he not had his arms outstretched, it would not have struck him. Unlucky, yes, but still a penalty.
IIRC, the rule states that the handball has to be intentional for a penalty to be awarded. Even with my heavy duty blue blinkers on, that wasn't intentional. But I'll take it!
