Honestly after that I'm really upset with Mancini for the first time since his arrival. I still support him totally so don't get on me about that. The 3 at the back thing is an unmitigated disaster though. Every time we play it it's a disaster. We also just didn't' seem as prepared as Dortmund tonight. They looked to just want it more. Javi Garcia going down as well, you could feel the match change when he went out.

Yet another game this season where we can't control the game because of our midfield. Yaya and Garcia doesn't work. Yaya is not a holding midfielder. Nasri the usual waste of space. Hart magnificent,

But yet again the manager changed formation twice. You can't keep doing that every single fucking game.

They pressed us well and we struggle to cope with anyone who does that.

Overall, a poor performance against a good side. And yet another lucky point.

Mourinho isn't as good as people make him look , He just does the right thing at the RIGHT time and that means fielding the right team , sticking to a formation that WORKS , making the right substitutions . 1 quality that stands out for Mou is his resilience and mental /Psychological strength , has a tough skin , he handles pressure perfectly , Mancini turns into "Bridget Jones " when put under pressure . Personally i have more respect for coaches like Simone , Bielsa , Pep , Rijkaard and that dortmund guy than i have for Mou.

Most of our bench should have played in that first 11. Milner should have come on for Garcia.
Rodwell fuckin awful. Nastastic better than Savic but not as good as Lescott.

I understand why we have a post match thread but there amongst a lot of shit there's some good posts that just get lost and any good debate is gone. I don't know what the answer is because BM has got so many followers but these post match threads you just can't keep up with or reply and get any real debate going. By tomorrow morning I never feel as frustrated and can't be arsed discussing the tactics/formation etc.

Well here we are again! Our formation and movement is still terrible! Last season we had Silva and Nasri both tracking back and then breaking forward with Toure in midfield with either Barry or De Jong sitting in front of the back 4.

This season we seem to have 2 permanent defensive midfielders and then a huge gap in midfield up to where Nasri and Silva are behind the striker. Occasionally Silva drifts back but you simply cant have that, they need a tireless work rate! This is what tonights game was like in terms of formations, you can clearly see how they controlled the game and should have thrashed us while we were just passing it around the defence or hoofing it up!

I wouldn't go as far as to say you were the better team, but it was an even contest. A 50/50 game, with him off the midfield was completely lost and nothing could be done about it.

yeah maybe 50/50 is more like it but the fact is we were creating good chances too, and we. need. to. be. more. clinical.

and yet 1/4 the people in here saying he's shit and de jong is better or he was poor, WTF
