City Vs Borussia Dortmund (CL) Post Match Thread

Utd narrowly beat Galatasary and Kluj. Arse get 6 points against the mighty Montpellier and Olympiakos. The champions are in disarray, apparently, because we narrowly lose to Real Madrid and struggle to a draw against the german champions. Wtf is the seeding system all about?

Clichy was injured - showed how much attention you paid

He was replaced in the 81st minute and didn't look injured to me when he came off.

He was poor in the main for the 80 minutes he played.

What is the nature of his injury?

Yaya was limping for most of the second half but wasn't substituted for some reason.

Again if we can't dominate Sunderland and have a comfortable win on Saturday we have got some serious problems that need fixing soon.
Clichy was injured for a good ten mins before he came off. looked like a muscle injury of some sort but I didn't see him happen just saw him struggling with it. He will not play on Saturday. I agree Yaya was struggling at times as well.

If he was I am not sure why he stayed on for that long risking further aggrevation.

In anycase like most of the side he was well below his best for the time he was injury free.

Again despite the scoreline it was one of the worst home efforts for some time.

I cannot remember the last time an opposition had so many clear cut chances against us and completely dominated the areas of the pitch that matter.

Good post to many drama queens on here tonight. We need a win against Sunderland then 2 weeks rest, will probably do the lads some good they look knackered at the moment. This will also give the new players more time to bed in.

Why do they look knackered ?. Hate to see what they look like like next May then.

Have to say I'm alergic to Mancini's 'I know where's the problem' comments. 3rd in Europe with City and didn't learn anything. Same with Internazionale.

For those shrugging this off as a learning experience and that's part of the process, please look at the highlight reel of this match a few times. They tore our back line to shreds. It looked like more of a massacre than our win at the Swamp last season, the only saving grace being that we had Joe Hart and not that weaselly little shit De Gea.

They made us look like that lucky team from some obscure European League that gets a miracle playoff run and then gets shit on by everyone in the group stage. I cannot remember the last time we had our back line penetrated that often and that easily. They way they tore us up made Madrid look like an average side after they only had a few more clear chances than us.

I can not remember the last time we played the Champions of one of the top European Leagues. But I do remember that we also created a lot of chances, probably more chances tonight than in all our home Premiership games this season put together.

Yes they were better, but they were also significantly better than the normal teams they were playing, and they were playing at 100% like a Derby

These are important points and if you don't recognise the opposition and how well they played, any valid points you have go out of the window

Sounds like you might be one of the 'Silent Majority'?

I'm afraid so mate. I sit on the third tier on my own, so like everyone else up there I'm wasn't on my feet starting songs.

Mind you I don't think anyone else in other areas of the stadium were. I don't think any English team would have made much of a noise against them tonight.

We will have to do without him now in anycase for a period.

Looked like he tore his thigh muscle , a four to six week injury depending on the grade of the tear.

Time for Milner to prove his worth .

He's GOT to play Milner more frequently ......

Rodwell looks a bag of nerves , and is making as many mistakes as Savic did.

yep. Savic vol. 2 all the way so far..

Series of mistakes and he looks frightened, I'm afraid it could go on for a while, never a good idea to start career in new team with so many mistakes

That´s a good question....
Don´t you think they look tired?
