Bravo

Zaba
Nico
Stones
Clichy

Fernandinho
Fernando*
Silva

Sterling
Aguero
Nolito

* Assumes KDB is injured with a high up, left hamstring strain.
Pep will use all three subs to rest players who are knackered (Silva and Fernandinho, primarily) and give Sane for Sterling, to get some more game time into Sane's legs.

The rest of Saturday, and all Sunday, Monday, until Tuesday evening is plenty of rest for the players who are not suffering from strains or niggles. Those that are will be day to day, but 3 days is usually plenty, especially now Pep is using some real recovery science to aid the players, rather than pizza and carb loading for after match meals, etc...

Need to win the game and I think Pep will put EVERYTHING on the line to win it. These have (had?) been the banana skins in the CL in the past, meaning we have had to play catch up for the entire Group Stage in years past. No-one at City wants that. This is an early "lay it all on the line" game, with a chance to rest AFTERWARDS, if necessary. I'd start my strongest side possible and take it from there, with capable replacements on the bench in all positions.

Im normally against making changes but i think with some players needing minutes it would be nice to see them starting if fit. Kompany , Gundogan and Sane to all start would be good. Take them off when needed. We need minutes into those guys sooner rather than later. Who drops out Ottamendi for Kompany , Silva for Sane and KDB for Gundogan wouldnt be bad as were at home we should have enough to get a good win at home. I think the league games this season will be a more solid look and not as many changes to the team.

You're wrong I'm afraid. Lose this game and we are practically out of the competition. I don't know about you but I'd prefer to get through and pocket the £50 million that comes with getting into quarters. That money buys players like Stones, Debruyne, Sane and keeps us ahead of our rivals.
We earned just under £97m from the PL last season (presumably prize money and TV money), which dwarves your £50m figure from the CL. And this season the figure will be even higher due to the new TV deal kicking in now. Even Villa earned comfortably more last season than that CL money you mentioned.

I think Pep said he will deal with this game as a Final, therefore I expect him to start the best 11 he had.

I am sure he wants to have 6 points before he face Barcelona.

yes and we finished 4th so finishing 1st or 5th wouldn't actually drop significantly. Get booted out of the champions league and it's an instant £50 mil hit so your logic is all wrong.

I would still rather concentrate on the PL, particularly trying to avoid that qualifying round we had to play this season. You obviously think differently; so be it.

Important to get off to a good start in the group so three points is near enough a must takes pressure off, don't want a scenario wher we go into last group game looking to qualify..
