City vs Burnley Post Match Thread

I think that was our only chance to really out pressure on Maureen and the chavs.
Poor, absolutely no excuse for giving away a 2 goal lead at home AGAINST 19th place team!!

Obviously today's performance wasn't good but it might be worth taking a step back before slating the team. We have had a brilliant run and played some hard games and come out on top. Maybe it caught up with them today. It's a shame we didn't capitalise on Chelsea's dropped points but not the end of the world. It's a bit crap to dismiss all the good performances lately over a poor 45 mins which to be fair also included an offside goal which changed the result.

Here, here.
Disappointed but too many mard arses on here. Long, long way to go.

No City fan enjoyed that second half and we all regret the missed opportunity - but do we really have to hear from every spoilt cry baby who thinks the lads blew it to get at them personally! And Pellegrini didn't force an "I'm going to be garbage in the second half" pill down every player's throat at half time. Let's just consign the agenda theories to the bin.

What makes people think all the bad decisions that go against us have no bearing on the game and the final result?

I agree we were woeful in the second half but so was the referee and linesman and it's not "embarrassing" to call them out on it.

I'm sick to death of the shit calls we get!

We have the most possession and still always have more yellows and give more free kicks away,it's bullshit!

If we want to retain our title, we cannot put in this quality of performance. We are in the last sixteen in the CL, two up at half time against Burnley after watching Cheslsea draw………and then draw ourselves. Come on lads for fucks sake FIGHT for it.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini: "It was a big opportunity to get two more points. Everybody would think the game was over but I always say it is never over until the last minute. Burnley's first goal was a mistake of the referee.

"The pitch was very heavy. Two games in 48 hours but we were winning 2-0. Once it was 2-2 we didn't have the legs to score. We only had two shots after that. In the first half Burnley didn't have any clear chances. We didn't play well in the second half.

"We have 43 points, we have the second half of the season to decide who is the best team. We were at home. That is an advantage but Chelsea and Manchester United also drew. We will see whether Yaya (Toure) or Vincent (Kompany) will be fit for the next game."

We cannot keep blaming poor officials.
We should have put this game beyond reach by Half time.
No excuses at all from the team. You take the exorbitant wages, you should be delivering.
