Pep's first game at Bayern was the Supercup against Dortmund and he took it extremely seriously. Hojbjerg was one of the jewels of Bayern's academy and Pep was still incredibly reluctant to play him in such a big game because of the pressure it would cause the youngster, so I'm not surprised he doesn't want to subject Garcia or Bolton to a game against Pedro and Morata. Both are still very young so no big deal.

Good post. It’s a little different for midfielders thus I could see Foden starting.

Watched a bit of Jorginho in the ICC - very impressive (sublime first touch, always passed it to an open player, even surrounded by attackers made an intelligent play, took control of Chelsea's press even as a brand new player).

This is the first time I've paid attention to Jorginho, it's easy to see why we pursued him.

Rocko - The game is not being broadcast in the States.

Depending on your stomach for virus/malware risk and or copyright infringement and possible legal prosecution, you might be able to find a download once the match finishes. Google "world cup" download torrent and the like for at-your-own-risk torrent/download sites - not at all recommended unless you're aware of the risks (both legal and from malware/viruses) are are computer savvy.

For USA TV broadcast schedules, refer to: http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/
Breaking news - actually the Community Shield will be broadcast in the States, after a last minute negotiation breakthrough for broadcast rights - ESPN+ - a subscription, online service, will carry the game. No way I'm shelling out bucks to EPSN+ for this game though.

Get the 7 day free trial and then cancel it after the match is done.

That is what I am doing to avoid the **** stream experience.

And then ESPN has your email address and will send tons of crap mail to you... If you're lucky they won't share your email address with other companies (good luck with that).

Likely all the ensuing crap email ends up in your junk folder so potentially no big deal.

But what to do about the next ESPN+ exclusive match you want to watch?

Me? - I'm looking for other viewing opportunities.

Spam routing is very good on my email service so I do not care about that (not to mention they already have my email address from the WatchESPN streaming service included in my TV package). It is a daft system of PII sharing they have in the states but there’s nothing I can do about it at this point.

And to each there own. Having spent quite a few hours of my life desperately searching for decent streams of matches (sometimes multiple times during the match itself as streams went down), I look for easy, high quality, legitimate means of watching whenever possible myself. The utility of the ease of experience and higher streaming quality (that looks good on a large 4K UHD screen) are well worth most subscription fees (especially a free trial that I will otherwise never need, as I’ve already checked the future offerings this year and none interest me).

At any rate, I hope you are able to find a suitable alternative.

Cheers. I've got a couple of possibilities in mind.

I hope that you'll be able to watch a rebroadcast from the England stream on ESPN+ - but you may be cursed with watching a Mark Ogden-Ally Moreno affair.

I won't be spending any money for ESPN/Fox content until they're able/willing to offer top-notch commentary - even if it's a free subscription to their service (they'll make money by selling your email address at least).

Even my Chelsea mates say he’s a clown for choosing them over city. Couldn’t care less about the mercenary pr**k.

From what I've read, Jorginho wanted to join us but Napoli forced the move to Chelsea over his objections.
