From a footballing point of view it was better for us that the game was called off. The game would have been a lottery which would have favoured Sunderland massively. When the fixture is played hopefully we will have our injured players back and obviously the conditions will be a lot better.. It has also given us a much needed break before the Chelsea/Barcelona games. It was sh*t though on the fans who had travelled a long way for the game, and probably should have been called off much earlierChippy_boy said:I am a bit mixed about the Sunderland game being off to be honest. OK, so our players get to rest a bit, but we really could have done with some game time for Garcia and Rodwell and also the huge mental boost of getting a good win under our belt.
We were a bit shell shocked after the defeat last Monday and we had lost all our swagger in the Norwich game. We looked nervy and slow and ponderous. No doubt we will be nervy against Chelsea again now, and it's a hell of a test bringing Garcia and/or Rodders straight back in against Hazard et al.
