I'm a big fan of Mancini's and I'm not one for negativity but that line-up is going to make or break him. Fingers crossed it's a make!

Lescott must think wtf and rightly so, he is miles better than Kolo. Garcia and Rodwell is a worry as well.

Plus side it looks like Serg up top on his own with Yaya hopefully pushed up.

Engage brain. Nastasic is a much better player than Lescott. Kolo is a much more natural partner for him than Joleon. Throw in the fact that Chelsea are a small nimble outfit then Kolo is a better footballer than Lescott and quicker. Easy to see why Mancini has gone with this.

If Barry is injured then the only option was one more midfielder or Tevez. If Yaya is pushed forward then maybe it is a good move. We will see.

Looks like Garcia and Rodwell sitting in front of the back four, with Yaya through the middle, and Silva and Milner to either side - strong side, but we could have used Tevez's industry in there - I have concerns that that team has enough energy to counter Chelsea.

Big test for Rodwell - will be interesting to see how he takes to it!

At least Rodwell gives us a bit of mobility in the midfield.

Provided his leg doesn't fall off.

Absolutely - going off the Training Reports, its sounds like he's been in excellent form recently in terms of influencing the games following his injury problems - he could provide the industry we're looking for from the middle - big game for him, and a chance to make a statement about his long-term position in the team - I hope he takes it!

Yes, I feel the same way. Garcia/Rodwell risky, but I think Rodwell will play decently. Nice of Mancini to show confidence him to play him in such a pivotal game.

Not sure about Garcia, he's not bad, he just isn't good. Can see him finding it difficult to keep up with the likes of Mata, Oscar and Hazard.

-- Sun Feb 24, 2013 12:44 pm --
