So am I,all the makings of a classic and somewhat pivotal in the eyes of some.
It will say a lot about the mentality of the manager and the team

Not to mention Pellegrini's ability to learn and adapt......i'm hoping to see something different tomorrow.
Same here, and I am glad it's Everton we won't know if things are improving until tested on the better teams

My sphincter is twitching more than 'arry at a meeting with HMRC.
Dreading this game, even more than usual.

Martinez is a smart manager. He figured out that the way to beat City last year was to play a high line and press all the way up the pitch. Most teams that did this to us over the last few years have had some success. This is only successful though if the team you are playing has no up-front pace. This year we have Jesus who will revel in any team playing a high line.

Bring it on.

I don't know why, look at Arsenal after Villa smashed them, I am expecting a reaction from everyone tomorrow and I have a feeling we will see it

The key question against Everton is which City team will show up on Saturday? Will it be the attacking confident team that took United to the cleaners 2 weeks ago? Or will it be the stumble-bums who showed up and let in 3 against Bayern Munich? (& 3 at Villa & at Cardiff).
So come on Pelle; get these guys motivated and keep the defense tight. So come on guys; get these talents to work and earn you pay-cheques and show them how you played against United. Show them that Everton are not a bogey team, that we make our own luck. We live in hope.

Another key against Everton will be Toure; if he plays well then City usually will play well and get a good result, but if he struggles and is ineffective then City will struggle and we will be up against it again. So which Yaya will show up on Saturday? The big power-house who we see occasionally or the big galoof we see much too frequently? We live in hope.

Another key against Everton will be in goal; if Hart plays well can he put recent errors and disappointments behind him? Or does Costel Pantilimon derserve his chance in the league? I believe it is time for a change in goal. What's the worst that could happen?

I was expecting a reaction after getting beat by Cardiff. Instead we scraped a win over Hull with a far from convincing display and went on to get outplayed by a Stoke side managed by Mark Hughes. If Leslie is winning a battle of wits, you know something must be wrong. Stoke outplayed us, fucking hell!
I expected a reaction after getting beat by a Villa side who were minus their best player. Look what happened then.
I have no confidence whatsoever in the team at the moment.

Fair point, I have never known you so gloomy about us

Jesus is there a thread anywhere on the main forum which isn't infected with suicidal negativity?

I'm logging off with this prediction. We'll beat Everton and this forum will be a ghost town tomorrow night.

Martinez will play the same way he got his Wigan side to. We need to make sure we can defend against their wide play, and also exploit the space they leave as well. This is a game Navas has to play, it would also suit Negredo, putting himself about and hassling their back line. I wonder how they will cope in the middle without Barry in this game. If gibson is fit then he is a like for like replacement really but this is somewhere we will need to exploit. I think having Ribery and Robben midweek we should be more than ready for the threat from their wing back and wide players.
