Saw the press conference earlier today, and I must admit I got the feeling Pelligrini was being complacent about our home games.

I got the impression he thought we didn't need to change anything for our home matches because we've won them all (except against BM of course).

This is a worry for me, it feels like we're going to play the same formation come hell or high water, in which case Everton wll overrun our midfield, so this game could be even more difficult than usual, due to our manager's stubborness.

If Pellegrini plays 442 again we will lose. It is an outdated formation which is not played by any leading teams in Europe. I am baffled by his tactics. For me we would have won at Cardiff and Villa if he had strengthened our midfield when we were leading in both games. The players looked confused against Bayern. Playing with two up front only works against much weaker teams.

All I can say (and it´s not coloured by opinion or anything prejudgemental), is that I haven´t got an earthlys as to what to expect tomorrow
Back to default City setting
Expect the totally unfookinexpexted!!!!

Typical City
World class one game, turd the next.

Fucking hell, the way some people are talking here, you'd think we were playing the second best team to Bayern.
Sure we don't have a great record (mainly away) to Everton, but they've never stuffed us. They have parked the bus,
got away with it, and then scored from mainly set pieces. Baines has NEVER ripped us apart, so I can't see it happening
now. Sure we need to keep an eye on Lukaku but we've sorted him at WBA.

I think we are a better side this season, and home form (Hull apart) has been good. Early days but signs of great
attacking play.

I think the pessimism is down to Bayern result, but the Premier is totally different. Think comprehensive
win and great game to watch.

The pessimism could be down to hardly getting a kick against Bayern , yes ....... or it could be down to the fact that that we also lost to a complete bag of shite called Aston Villa four days before !

Which is only fair, and I am sure the team and the club know this, and they will all know we are much better than that

This is one fixture in recent years where our superstars never put in the work against inferior opponents so if we play with any thing below par, we'll not get the win.
Having said that 2-1 win .

I believe that Athletic Madrid okay a 442 and they are doing outstanding. I could be wrong though.

Worried?

Before this may get merged with another bigger thread, Im wondering if you feel the same?
Im not arsed reading threads that go on. so hopefully this gets its own space.
Other than utd games, that do and will always worry me, and after their last no show, I dont know why, Ive had total belief that we will win at home.
Today Im not sure. I dont know anyone can be. But my point is, that this is now a strange feeling of apprehension that we may loose at home,
These were always the team that did us, and look at them now!
Strange times. Especially for people that after 25 years of disappointment, have got used to a home banker.
