City vs Fullham Post Match Discussion

Overall, a good performance.

Cruised to victory in third gear. Scored early but didn't let them have a sniff except for Sidwell's header that Joe had covered - even though it touched the outside of the post. It would have been nice to have scored a few more but in the defending and grafting stakes we were exceptional. We worked hard off the ball and kept it tight at the back. Nastasic and Garcia especially were outstanding and the rest did there bit.

Only scoring from 1 on target effort in 11 is a concern though. At least Dzeko was having efforts all game. Tevez on the other hand is grave cause for concern. Effort yes, but he seems to have lost a yard of pace and his shooting at the moment is poor and betrays a definite lack of confidence.

Shite performance, i couldn't help but come away feeling a bit disappointed.

Champions don't win a game 2-0 at home after scoring in the 2nd minute. Really should have showed more impetus and played how we can.

Guess that rules out utd for the title this season too after their win against West Ham in November http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20422443

We dominated the game without getting out of second gear, professional performance.

Oh sweet baby jesus and the fucking orphans, I missed this gem. We are the current fucking champions and we just won 2-0 at home after scoring in the 2nd minute. Or have the FA decided to do a betfred and give utd the title already?

Anyone without sky blue goggles on can see we are going Backwards
Premier League is shite so we can get away with giving the ball away
In Europe we have been punished by good sides
Usual flaws today, no urgency or tempo
Its not going to be Guardiola but Mancini won't take us any further!

mmmmm corky1970 is suspicious

You sure ?

He's got more than 6,000 posts !

There is certainly room for improvement, but we have got the 3 points which we all need to do at this stage of the season.

Was there today mate, block 214. MCFC fans were so engrossed in the game they resorted to singing about Joe Harts dandruff. Im not excited watching MCFC anymore, it's one dimensional, Mancini has built this squad and its not good enough, wouldn't give him anymore to spend.

The bottom line is, all our strikers are miss firing to a certain extent at the moment but we are getting away with it.

Tevez worked his bollox off today and his sheer work rate troubled Fulham more than once.

Dzeko played ok and had the clearest chances to score but it was one of those days. He has bagged a few of late and has a bit of credit in the bank so to speak.

Sergio back from an injury had some great touches when he came on but again, was wasteful, as he has been all season to be fair.

It will click soon enough up front, we are too good a side for it not too.

Agreed, I thought it was a good game. There were a number of misplaced passes, but I thought it was purely down to the pitch?
Tevez had a good game, the first goal would not have happened without him pulling the defenders away, allowing Silva to score the rebound. Yet you can see he's frustrated that he's not been able to replicate his goal-scoring form at the beginning of the season. Still managed an assist though. Would have been two if Silva had scored for his hat-trick.

Speaking of which, Silva was fabulous today. Hardly made a mistake today. Really wanted him to get his third. Zabba, Clichy, Milner were also very good.
Defence was solid, Fulham barely got a shot on target..

Another 3 points, hope we continue this winning spree..
