MIddle 3 blocks of CBL3 now available on the planner - looks like the first 10 or 11 rows of each block only for now. Probably going to see how ticket sales go before deciding whether to open up further rows/blocks.
Good. Means fans can turn up on the night and get in. Should be the biggest gate of the round. Only Liverpool could better us.

If Newcastle had brought their usual support it would have sold out, but stil going to be a very impressive crowd. Shows if you price it right, the support is there. And I bet the media don't remark on it even though they made a great deal about the crowd for Roma

The support is definitely there and only a bitter idiotic opposition fan (or Paul Scholes) would think otherwise. The fact that there will be a larger crowd for this lesser fixture than there was for Roma proves it. It genuinely is down to price first and foremost and City fans as a collective are amongst the poorest in the country - recent success has clearly attracted more new fans/tourists, etc, but the numbers of these aren't anywhere near enough to take up the slack if some of the longer-standing supporters decide not to attend.

Pellegrini: Nasri is in the squad, but Lampard still out

Run out for Nasri ahead of the derby?
A chance to rest Silva maybe. He's been out a while though. Could he come straight back in and play at a high enough level. Suspect he might be used for 45/60 mins or as a sub

I went for 5 tickets today, 2 adults 3 kids.... nothing together so having to give it a miss

I'd give Naz a half or 60 mins to check his level of fitness you can only really get a proper assessment when they're in a game and under match pace really feel that Pell needs to take a few frontline troops out of this one, poor Merlins been kicked to pieces last few games Serge is on fire and at the peak fitness wise thats plain to see so I'd withdraw him to fight bigger battles later. I'd give Jovo a game and Edin, not sure what's going in Yaya's head at the moment he's coasting and I think it's mental rather than physical so I'd play him he's fit it's just that I'm not sure he really wants to be at City anymore, I think we need to play our first choice back 4 as at the moment they need as much playing time together as Pell can give them to sort themselves out because they've been all over the place this season so resting any of them won't do any good IMHO. I don't see anything other than a City victory Newcastle on paper shouldn't pose any great threat ................ City 2 Toon 0.

As someone just said they have just opened up the 3rd tier of Colin Bell so load together now.

This had turned out to be a slightly more daunting fixture over the last couple of weeks, far more because of City's below par performances than any Newcastle resurgence.

- I still think we can't afford to be complacent in cup games. The margin between City and Newcastle isn't THAT large that we can relax.

- Really looking forward to Nasri being back in the side. He's gone under the radar again, and few have mentioned his absence as being one of many factors in our recent performances, but I believe that even if he's not always as effective as Silva, he still needs extra attention from opposing defenders, and he's more than capable of some sublime moments himself. I think he gives up just a bit more up front.

- It's (hopefully) a chance for us to regain our composure and get back to some fluent / winning football before the derby, which will be no walkover.

If we lose the game though - it'll only add pressure to Sunday, and that's not a good thing.

Some "Gold Standard seats" available in 324/325/326, most likely the only chance you will have to sit there, right over the half way line all are taken by SC holder for premiership games.
If you go down on the day get there early get the tickets then let the kids have a look at the Minihad, they will then be hooked for life, you know it makes sence. City need new blood to replace old farts like me.
