They may not be able to play against his power and his presence would enable us to play one out and out striker with Aguero a little deeper.mansour's tow ropes said:Some big calls to make for Tuesday: who partners Kompany? Do we go with Demichelis again for his positioning and tactical composure, or Mangala, wary of their speed in attack these days, and look to play a physical game which they might not like?
Either way I think the 2 should start together on Saturday, I don't believe in needless rotation and disruption, when they have just had a generous break!
Also those saying Bony should start are way off the mark. Navas, Silva, Nasri and Aguero will start, guaranteed (bearing injuries). If Pellegrini does go 442, then I hope Sheikh Mansour spends the duration of the game formalising the termination of his contract, and has it faxed through in time for the final whistle.
Of course for Saturday I don't think Bony will start either, not least because we have too many midfielders playing well. I think Milner, Silva and Nasri for this one, although could well be Navas given how important he is to the structure of our team going forward.
To beat Barca over two legs, we need to score at home
But that's not for another week yet. Newcastle is very important in its own right. The League is still in sight and we need to win. Stoke away proved that they players are still up for it, even if the Hull game suggested otherwise. Chelsea look far from invincible
Marv. I cannot see Pellers going 442 against Barca, so on the premis it will be 451 Bony or Kun?
suicidal move if he does, one up front the only way to go
i assume kun to be the lone striker with bony off the bench when it goes tits up or coasting 3 up
for saturday just can't see bony starting its not the pellergrini way
it will also be interesting to see how he goes as it will be a fully fit squad to pick from
