City Vs Norwich Post Match Discussion Thread

City haven't scored that many since beating Barnsley 7-1 in the League Cup 9 years ago. A joy to watch yet strangely low key in some respects. Norwich were dog shit mind and theirs was very probably the worst performance from a PL side I've ever seen. Silva was absolutely magnificent.

Good win. Hard to get excited as Norwich didn't put out an effort.

Got to agree, we should only get excited when we score seven against a team playing really well.

Sarah Jane Mee uses the Magnificent Seven headline within 10 seconds of SNF.

Pity she is gonna be joined by the k:unt that is Dwight Yorke

All 90 minutes on Sky now - a few beers, the lovely Sarah Jane Mee and one colossal tube steak Dwight Yorke

ive put it on my hard drive to watch later

Missed the game, first one of the season, as I was flying from Bangkok to Abu Dhabi.
First thing I did on arrival in Abu Dhabi is check the scores, very low key reporting by the BBC, imagine if any of the other big teams had put 7 past their opponents, pretty sure it would have made the headlines.
Anyway onward and upward.

Pellegrini post-match

“Joe needed a rest, it will be useful for him – he’s played every match for two years. Every player can have a bad moment.

“I only know that Joe must work very hard and he will have all of the support of me and the goalkeeper coach and the team. He is England’s goalkeeper and I think he will be back.

“Negredo was not injured, but he played he played 115 minutes last Wednesday and we have to play again on Tuesday in a very important game for the club so I thought it was better for him,” Manuel declared.

"Dzeko played very well on Wednesday so it was important for him to play and score again.”

I wonder what the nice Mr Yorke will have to say about us.

''Well; City were okay, I suppose. But they did get seven lucky goals, and Norwich had just as much of the game as City did. And of course it was an uneven contest before the game had even started because of the five billion pounds that City have spent, trying to buy success.''

Just got back from the game slightly pissed.

Great performance all round. only slightly worrying aspect was De Mick who passed the ball out of defence straight back to the opposition on no less than seven occasions. We will get punished if he does that against better opposition so he'd better cut it out.
