One question to those who know - Why do some of you show Kolorov to play and not Clichy - ?. The last few games he has been outstanding.
and many on here want a settled back 4. OK I know we have lost Vinny and we played Sagna last week.
Lets stick to Zabba , Demi , Mangala , and Clichy - until 1 of them gets injured.

I assume some prefer the extra threat he has going forwards. However, he is poor defensively and quite slow and as Palace's main threat is their pace on the counter, I certainly wouldn't play Kolarov in this game. Personally I'd keep the changes to a minimum defensively for league games. Kolarov should only play in cup games and if/when Clichy loses form or is injured/suspended.

A settled back four is critical for the next few games especially. We need to get goals from the midfielders so that is surely the area to try things with a bit of rotation during the games if things don't pan out.

I would be happy for either of Clichy or Kolarocv to start , but with is having no recognised striker I really do think we need all the creative we can put out.

Kolarov isn't great defensively but he is one of the best attacking full backs in Europe in my opinion.

I would be livid if Kolarov is picked ahead of Clichy. He has his one and only trick and quite often his passes always hit the defender and goes out to touch. Clichy has shown recently that he is easily the first choice left back.

Lampard must start. We need our goal scoring midfielders.

Jimmy Milner started his career as a forward at Leeds and I'm pretty sure he became the premier league's youngest ever scorer at one point? The main thing for me is that he never stops moving. He might not be natural there, but he will move the centre backs all over the place. I'd start Kolarov over Clichy for the extra goal and assist threat too. I'd play:

Hart; Zab, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Yaya; Silva, Lampard, Nasri; Milner

Phil Dowd reffing, he seems to always book Zaba I'd start Sagna.

Upfront Pozo although unlucky not to score against Everton upfront alone is much too exposed especially away from home. He didn't get a kick against Leicester's very average Centre Half pairing.

As he's used to playing with the EDS lads and having watched Ambrose quite a few times I'd certainly like to finish the game with perhaps WBA and Lescotts pace in mind.

Navas- Fern- Yaya-Milner

Silva-Pozo

Ambrose

Ambrose retweeted this

Brandon Barker and Thierry Ambrose trained with first team today.
One of them might be on bench on Saturday or maybe both.

Would love to see Barker get some game time.

Now this would be exciting. Ambrose is a terrific young player and physically powerful. I think he would do a better job than Pozo leading the line because of his physical presence. Not that I would ever underrate Pozo as he is a great young talent. It's just at the moment Ambrose is better suited playing up front.

Having said that the player that I think is the most exciting of the young players is Barker. He offers something different. For those that haven't seen him play, visualise Adam Johnson but faster and with better ball skills.

He is a local lad and I would love nothing more than see him on the bench this weekend.

I suppose that if 1 of the central defenders gets injured we will have to rely on Boy Otter.
This FFP nonsence has surely affected our squad . - this is a reference to us loaning out Negredo!!. - who by all accounts won't be coming back.

If we have lots of midfield players and no central strikers, dont we need plenty of width to stretch Palace's defense, to create the space for the attacking midfield players to run into?
