Two words Vincent Kompany - every time any of us doubt just remember how good this fella is - he is a leader and a winner it's as simple as that.

-- Tue May 08, 2012 11:16 pm --

Two words Vincent Kompany - every time any of us doubt just remember how good this fella is - he is a leader and a winner it's as simple as that.

Buzzers tears spoke.
This is not the old City...Do you really think Micah.Kun.Vincent and all the boys will let this slip now?

Re: the "i'm absolutely bricking myself" thread.

we're at home, so i'm not nervous, probably will be sunday until we go 2 up

the "i'm absolutely bricking myself" thread.

What we have to remember is that whilst most of us can remember the last 30 to 40 years of pain and disappointment, the players and coaching staff can't. They are focussed on making it yet another standard win at home.

Kompany and Co will see this game through as a matter of routine. QPR may put up a fight but it is simply not enough.

Will no doubt be nervous as hell on Sunday but I'm sure I don't need to be.

Re: the "i'm absolutely bricking myself" thread.

I'm bricking it cos I'm traveling Sunday and by the time I get to watch, the game will be over....and this place will be pandemonium either way. Want to watch it as though its live though, so I will be a little late!

As for the game, I believe we can, should and will do it. Looks like Mancini is keeping everyones feet firmly on the ground, I'm just trying to avoid the obvious attempts by the meeja to unsettle things. Fuck em.

Re: the "i'm absolutely bricking myself" thread.

I wasn't nervous about the derby or Newcastle game and I'm not nervous about this one. The stats to remember are that we are 85 goals better off than QPR for the season and 49 points ahead. Do the job that we've done for almost all season and we can look forward to the match. Play to our strengths and we will see it through. The crowd will definately be our twelfth man. QPR will fancy this less than we will. No complacency, be professional and I'm sure we have the strength to see it through. Anyone would think we were going to be playing on their small pitch. it's a lot harder to close us out at Etihad than some of the away venues. I bet some of our players can't wait to find out what the atmosphere is going to be like. Imagine how Samir is going to feel when he hears the noise we make for this game. Bring it on.

Position Team Played Goal D Points

1 Man City 37 63 86

17 QPR 37 -22 37

The league doesn't lie. If QPR go down it's because they are one of the poorest teams in the premier league. If we win it's because we are the best. It will be interesting to see if they go for a draw and to frustrate us. If that is their strategy though their goal difference suggests that they've not been very good at doing that this season. If they play open football against us they may get mullered just like did against Chelsea in their last away game.

Re: the "i'm absolutely bricking myself" thread.

I honestly can't see us throwing it away now :)

Re: the "i'm absolutely bricking myself" thread.

i was sat in a pub full of utd with my good luck charm ,my daughter when Everton equalised and i said then quite forthrightly we'd won the league .On sunday i said Yaya would score and now i'm predicting we score an hatfull maybe the ten we need to register 100 goals
We're that good ,that focussed nothing can stop us ,plus them rag fuckers will lose anyway.
If not i've put up with worse ,get your retaliation in first they hardly matter anyway
