City vs Real Madrid Post match Discussion Thread

anybody else noticed that mancini didnt shake jose's hand at the end of the game?

On the whole very pleased with that performance. Started off slow but that was understandable considering our opponents tonight. Aguero, Maicon, Zab and Silva all worked their socks off. Komps looks like he's coming back into his stride and Nastasic looked particularly impressive this evening. Ref I thought on the whole was shambolic, rarely allowed the game to flow and left me fuming when we were clear on the break at the end there when he blew the whistle as about 3 of those 5 minutes were spent taking free-kicks! Stupid decision to sub Sergio for Milner is my only gripe.

Overall a whole lot of positives to take from that game. It's time to pick ourselves up and go at an unsettled Chelsea side.

True enough. But Madrid effectively needed two points from two games, as did Dortmund. And they both had to play Ajax once and us once. We needed six from two with the hope of other results going our way. I'd consider that the better teams in the group making easier for themselves. The point BM made was fair enough.

Not being good enough warrants a bit of a reflection, otherwise we can all join hands, sing Kumbaya, and shut the forum down.

Madrid could afford a draw tonite ....

Dortmund have been more or less through since they stuffed Madrid at home .....

the rags could afford to lose last night ...
Don't give a single care about any other group. I'm talking about this group and you know it. And no one made it through until the fifth game. No one made it easy for themselves. Did some do better? Yes. No one had it easy.

The change in formation made all the difference, if only we could play with the same tempo throughout the match!
Otherwise most of the side played well, Edin's first touch still seems to let him down, and YaYa just seems off the pace, some of his passing and control was poor, just seems in a bit of a slump at the moment.

Lets send out 10 reserves and the Tea Lady. Really not arsed about Europa Cup. Yes, I know it's another cup comp, but the league is surely the priority now?
