City Vs Seville Champions League Post Match Thread

fucking hell really? hope your alright mate.

Walking back to the coach by the townley I slipped on some wet leaves and nearly fell over and landed on a pile of bricks that were outside a house. Managed to stick my hand out tho! hope your ok

That smooth blue floor is a death trap when wet and I am contacting the club about it when I am discharged.

At Monchengladbach we won last year 2-3 (2-4 in global). And not at the last minute...

I only hope you return to underestimate us. Nervion not forgive.

I don't think we'll underestimate you but your fans and the atmosphere in the ground is nothing to fear compared to where we've played before...
It's cute that you think you're intimidating though. I'm afraid it will be a bit of a holiday for us compared to our little trip to Napoli a few years ago.

We tend to perform better away in this competition for whatever reason. We won't underestimate you, there's plenty of Spanish connections within our club from DOF to Manager to players who know La Liga and the threat you bring in your own ground. However the pressure will be all on your team to try to get the 3 points.

Thought both teams had similar strengths and (notably) weaknesses; the amount of times both midfields parted like the Red Sea was pretty eye-opening. There were a lot of last-ditch tackles and blocks from both sets of defenders, but very few saves for either goalkeeper. It'll be another tight game in Seville.

I don't think we did underestimate your team and I very much doubt we will in the return league. We have enough players and a manager with connections to La Liga to let that happen.

I do, however, think you overestimate your support. Our fans and players have experienced many atmospheres more intimidating.

Annoys me how we show no urgency to press what so ever. Other teams get so much goals from their pressing, top teams all do it these days.

Honestly, our defending looked awful and the lack of desire to take on players is nothing to write home about. Players standing, not knowing what to do and who to stop just bit much imagation sometimes. Pellegrini has to do something about it before we get back to Seville for the next game.

Sevilla are the most fervently supported club in Spain.

They have an impressive record in European competition and we know that it will be a difficult fixture, however it's win or bust for Sevilla next round, and that may help us. We need a point, and then we should really qualify.
