Well we scored the best goal of the game and scored more goals from open play than you.

One of the funniest quotes on this thread :)

soooo you scored the best goal and more goals from open play...yup that means spurs should have won...obviously.

I've not seen the stats, but they may have edged it on the number of throws won too.

Fucks sake....READ what I said.

Did I say that means we should have won? NO I didn't.

I was just pointing out that the position that City played Spurs off the pitch and that Spurs were poor is a very precarious one to say the least.

Seriously?

We came within a hairs breadth of beating you. If Defoe's legs had been an inch longer we would be talking about one of the great comebacks in Premier League history.

Man City have won everyone of their home and we pushed you right to the very last.

I can't imagine that your players and fans have been more delirious at winning a home game this season than they were after 94 minutes yesterday.

We gave you one hell of a game, I don't see how any sane person could deny that.
If my Aunt had a dick.....

Yes.....but the point still stands that we were unlucky to lose and you were extremely fortunate to get the win.

You should have had two players sent off for a start. I’m not going to argue about the decisions (no doubt you’ve convinced yourself that both Lescott and Balo are entirely innocent) suffice to say that if those two players had got away with the same acts of violence in a Utd shirt you’d all be crying conspiracy and corruption.

You're the better team and I'm quite convinced that you will beat Utd to the title but a little humility and respect for opponents who gave you one hell of a game wouldn't go amiss.
One hell of a game ?? oh you mean the 2nd half..silly me..
We were fortunate to win ?? what a crock pal...we scored 3 goals.. Unless of course what you are really saying is that you'd only beat us if we had 9 men..

Is that what you are getting at ?? I think you are...
Well sorry to say we had 11 players on the pitch and we took our chances better than you took your few..

The better team by far won..live with it..

Thanks for the six points and think youself lucky we didnt have a full strength team yesterday..

We had a full team out for Arsenal. We were missing two of our four backbone players against you lot and we were still the better team. Arsenal are the sternest test we've faced so far. Don't think you'd have scored yesterday with Kompany and Yaya playing. I think you're better than Arsenal and the league table is not lying but they were better than you comparing the two matches.

Yido_in_briefs:

Your point about our money and the so-called romantic press, I completely disagree with. In our defence, City have spent what's been required to turn a "typical city" into title contenders. Monetary inflation aside, the average transfer fee has sky-rocketed over the last 15 years. Call it business inflation, perhaps, I dunno, one of the more knowledgeable football fans will hopefully back me up, but the 1 million quid went a lot further 10 year ago. Hell, 5 year ago. So it simply looks worse than it actually is.

United and Liverpool (more so united) have spent everyone to death in the Prem for ages. Cumulatively, they're the ones with massive head start because they've not only had money but time also, which makes for a lethal combo. Coming back to the point I disagree with;

The press still lick their arses, don't they? And Tottenham have spent a lot of money over the last couple of years. And they, as a club, surely started rising from a higher place than City have had to come.

Perception is reality and the press can make a piece of shit look like a million quid, and the gullible masses will take their word for it.

We deserve praise for what we've achieved because, as everyone's been telling us: "You can't just spend money and be a top team." So yeah, we will have a moan about being hated by the general media because we don't deserve it

You were fortunate because you got away with two blatant red cards.

You were fortunate because you won the game with virtually the last kick of the game from the very boot that only ten minutes previous had been thrust in to the face of Scott Parker.

This is what I'm talking about. You won the game, fair play, but not without a huge slice of fortune, and not without Spurs pushing you to the very last minute of stoppage time, how the hell anyone could deny that is quite beyond me.

Fair enough.

As for City, after the Everton game, we should have a relatively smoother run of fixtures for a while. I can't see us losing this title race. And I can't see myself NOT fainting, crying and having an orgasm if we win it on the Old Trafford game!

Hmmmmmmm

I meant United game, I'm typing very fast, piss off, haha
