All signs indicate our home record will be as formidable as last few seasons, maybe even more so. As such, I'm quite confident of a win. Liverpool were better last season but we still won quite comfortably. This season we improved and added depth plus core group of players are more accustomed to each other now. MP also has a season of PL football under his belt.

Only team that can threaten us is Chelsea. Credit to mourinho for being the only team to beat us at home last season when we were thrashing teams left and right. He is the only manager I fear as he just sets his team up so well.

Oh yes. And Sunderland always gives us problems away or at home. For some unexplainable reason. It's like trying to find out the mystery of the universe. By right They should not bother us. But they usually do.

Mourinho only got away with it last year because of our injuries can't remember exactly what team we put out but isn't that where we deployed MDM as defensive holding midfield player, and had no right back either.

Exactly, we played them a week or so later with Javi back from injury and they barely managed an attack in the whole game.

It's time.

Ive been thinking about this very line-up for a couple of weeks now. I think it leaves us lacking in a few areas, namely speed and height. The front 4 are all short-arse's and theres no real speed merchants. Can Aguero play as a lone striker or should it be more of a 4-4-2 with either him or Jovetic dropping into 'the hole'?

Hart

Zab Vinny Mangala Kolarov

Yaya Fernando
Silva
Jovetic Aguero
Dzeko

A little light in midfield maybe? Certainly strong going forward!

Why bother playing big joe..!!?
They'll be to busy picking the ball out of their net I guess...
But I do like that attack.. !!!!

I would really love a stand up for the champions chorus again, its so good when everyone stands up and we should do it at the same time every game? maybe on 20th minute or something really does make me love this club when we celebrate the title win on different days rather than the day we win it :-)

Hart
Zabaleta - Kompany - Mangala - Kolarov
Yaya Toure - Fernandinho
Silva - Jovetic - Nasri
Aguero

SUBS: Caballero, Sagna, Demichelis, Fernando, Milner, Navas, Dzeko

Stoke will be busy picking up the ball from the net. 11 players behind the ball but still can't cope with that if we pass it quickly.

Pellers won't pick this side but to start the rotation on the right backs just as we have started to rotate the LBs.

So

Hart
Sagna
Kompany
Mangala (Might as well start against Stoke the true test of someones ability)
Kolorov

Yaya
Fernando

Milner
Nasri

Dzeko
Jovetic
