I'm not so sure about that. A lot of United fans seem to think Smalling hasn't fully recovered from that head wound and Jones is just confidence shot.

Rafael & Evans will both start on Monday, I'm fairly certain.

That's how I see it anyway.
I hoe they play rafael, he was shocking on Sunday and ont think he has ad a good game against us yet

has to be the same team. Anything else would be madness. Be aware of threats like valencia obviously but we should play our own game and let them worry about us

Re: I'm chilled

I'm flitting between feeling hellish nervousness one minute, to feeling blood pumping raw passion and anticipation the next. Don't know whether to curl up in a ball on the sofa, or jump on my roof beating my chest singing city songs as loud as I can haha.

The Scene: City dressing room
The Time: 10 minutes before kick-off

A few players are looking nervous.
A few players are laughing and joking, putting on a brave face.
A few players are staring into space, preparing themselves for the battle ahead.
Everybody is looking for inspiration and leadership...

In walks Patrick Viera.
A hush falls over the room.
Every pair of eyes stares at the big man, waiting in anticipation.
Viera looks around the room, looking everybody in the eye before stopping at Vincent Kompany.
Patrick stares at him for a second and gives a slight nod.
All eyes turn to Vinny, he pauses for a second and starts to speak...

Guys.
Listen.
There are many reasons why we all came to Manchester City.
Some came for the money.
Some came to achieve something new.
Some have been here since they were boys.
But we all have one thing in common - we are all here to win and we are all winners.

Some of us have World Cup medals.
Some of us have Champions League medals.
Some of us have league champions and cup medals.
Some of us do not have any of these things yet.
But today, here and now, we all share one thing - the chance to make history.
More history.
The chance to become true legends.

I look around this room and I see my team mates, my friends, my brothers.
Those of us who will not be on the field today are with you who have that honour.
We will kick every ball.
We will make every tackle.
We will all celebrate as if we were there on the pitch with you.
And all these things, our fans will do with us.
They will kick every ball.
They will win every tackle.
They will celebrate our victory.

So now, today, make history.
Play for your friends.
Play for your families.
Play for your children so that they will say "My Daddy did that" in the future.
Play for yourself.
Play for each other.
And when you walk off the pitch, look at yourself and say "we did that for the fans."

Victory is ours.... we've taken it before.... let's take it again.

Vinny looks at Patrick who looks back, gives a slight smile and a nod.

COME ON CITY!!!!!!!!

Ferguscum will end Ashley Young's brief stint on the bench surely, he'll recall him and instruct him to dive at every possible moment.

I agree Milner should at least be considered, part of the reason we beat them last time was him helping the full-backs. Cut off their wingers and they will struggle a lot but it requires a lot of effort. Nasri will offer more going forward but not nearly as much tracking back.

Re: I'm chilled

After years of garbage, our owner bought us, put in millions, and we all thought this is great. And it was. Yeeah, we are going to buy all these great players and we are going to rule the world and we have all this money and it's going to be a breeze!

Well, now we are realising just how hard it is to be Champions. I think it was Yaya who said it is so hard to win this league because every team can beat you.

Anyway, am I chilled?

No. Not really.

I don't know which is harder to bear at this time of year, gunning to be champions or waiting for the result that gets us relegated!

I got used to relegation. This is a new frontier.

Both situations have their stress levels, but overall I think this is more stressful than being relegated.

I'll try and be calm on Monday, be chilled, but realistically, I'll be a nervous wreck.

Dont think Ive ever known a 16 page pre match thread 6 days before a game..

Is there a big game on or sommat ;)
