City vs Villa - post match thread

You seem surprised at this revelation ;-)

Very true. There are far too many bedwetters with a sense of entitlement on here.

The comments on Wednesday were ridiculous. City lost at Anfield where I don't think they have won for nearly 15 years. Even more daft as it was four days after winning a major national competition, something they went over 35 years without doing.
We had no right to come away with anything less than a 10-0 victory today.. 4-0 is not good enough and woe are we.

i'd have thought people would be happy with a win, after recent results.
but hey ho moan when we lose, moan when we draw and fucking moan even more when we win.
FFS. Teams no matter how shit they are, aren't just going to part like the red sea for us to have a party.
Happy enough with a win but it doesn't disguise our shortcomings. And if we hadn't beaten what is possibly one of the worst teams in PL history then we really would have something to worry about.

So what would it have taken for you to approve of the scoreline today?

15 pages !!! you can tell we won. if wed have lost there would have been at least 60. kinda proves people only come on here to moan ;)
Yeah it's even more strange that some people only come on here to moan about other people moaning too.

BTW, sorry for moaning about the people who only come on here to moan about other people moaning.......

Perhaps there are fewer pages because we beat worst side in the premier league for many a season. The players barely broke sweat and neither will posters who know that when we play decent opposition we so often come up short.
Enjoy the new sport of counting pages, but like todays performance it indicates little.
A much needed 3 pints all the same.

People's determination to whinge about today has been breathtaking at times.

You're missing something out mate.
Yes we did win a 'major' ( albeit the least important) national competition, but the Liverpool league game came on the back of two home defeats to our closest title rivals and so we needed a result at Anfield and all the omens were good having beaten the dippers three days earlier in a penalty shoot out meaning we should have been the team on a high and they should have been deflated. Vinny was even talking about 'the hunting season'.
Inexcusably the reverse situation applied and we were a shambles on the night.
Had we won we would have been bang on in the title race now but we didn't and a major opportunity was lost.
Stop trying to pass the Liverpool game off as just another defeat on a ground where we haven't won for god knows how many years.
It was a major defeat coming on the back of too many others this season and was probably our last shot at having a realistic chance of winning the title but we bottled it.
Hence the comments on the site on Wednesday night were fully justified , they were not "ridiculous".

So what would it have taken for you to approve today?
I was satisfied with 3 points Pam. That's the thing that was most important. But we aren't playing anywhere near the level we're capable of, which is why we only have 9 points from a possible 33 against the top half teams. If we get 30 points from our last 10 games then all's well.

Sad seeing Micah Richards as the deteriorated player he's become. Supposedly he has a 5 mil release clause if villa go down. But struggle to think who would meet it, he's been so consistently awful all year I think he might be stuck at villa
