City vs Villa - post match thread

Very true. There are far too many bedwetters with a sense of entitlement on here.

The comments on Wednesday were ridiculous. City lost at Anfield where I don't think they have won for nearly 15 years. Even more daft as it was four days after winning a major national competition, something they went over 35 years without doing.
"They"

That's mean-spirited. He was a good City player in his time and he loved the club, probably still does. He wasn't garbage when he was scoring that header to make it 1-1 in the Cup at Villa or when he blocked the shot that would have cost City victory at Newcastle in the first title-winning season.

Perhaps there are fewer pages because we beat worst side in the premier league for many a season. The players barely broke sweat and neither will posters who know that when we play decent opposition we so often come up short.
Enjoy the new sport of counting pages, but like todays performance it indicates little.
A much needed 3 pints all the same.

Lightweight. I work through a minimum of four per match.

Sad seeing Micah Richards as the deteriorated player he's become. Supposedly he has a 5 mil release clause if villa go down. But struggle to think who would meet it, he's been so consistently awful all year I think he might be stuck at villa

He was poor today but the way he clattered Sergio I don't have much sympathy.

Spot on pal. Too many seem too eager to come on here and moan when we lose but unable to be positive when we win.. As someone just posted, Bluemoon at it's finest

First half was ok, not too good, but definitely not a disaster. At times the team showed some of their recent frailties - rather slow attack with little movement ahead, not clinical enough and once the failure of clearing the ball from around the penalty box. However, there was no question on who came off as the much better team at half-time.

Second half we were good! We played with more urgency and precision. Jesus our lord and saviour turning in a man-of-the-match performance with a number of good crosses;), Kun brilliant in built-up play and the two goals, Yaya, Silva and Clichy putting in good performance too. Indeed, most of the team played pretty well. Good to see Sterling get a goal. Kelechi unlucky not to get one. Great cameo from Manu as well, very calm and assured on the ball.

While our opposition was terrible, still a win is a win. The scoreline is enough to make me happy for a few days, and it will be another confidence boost for the team to build on their performance last weekend. No need to focus on the half-empty side (for us fans at least) and moan too much!
