city will not win league

What a load of crap. That is nothing less than sour grapes because his team could not beat us. I was at the match and rewatched the game last night.

We were under a lot of pressure in the first half agreed.... but we handled it, very well as it goes. I aint going to apologise for having a great keeper who made fantatstic saves, it is why he was on the pitch and what he is paid to do!

In the second half after Roberto had had a chance to review and change things we looked a much more competent outfit, We looked classy on the ball and dominated the game at times. I was disappointed we didnt play a bigman up front but then again that disappointment was massively diluted by the fact we got a point.

We will improve and I will expect better as each game goes by.

We are a better squad than Spuds and IMO a better team, whats more Harry knows it!

This is spot on. I was also at the match and really impressed with how the manager adjusted the team at half time. The left looked solid throughout the game, even with Kolorov hobbling for 30 minutes. Richards still worries me because he lacks concentration, so the right needs sorting. Comparing it to last year's 3-0 stuffing, I think we should be optimistic.

Arry reckons we will struggle to make top 4

After 1 game, FFS? YCNMIU!

To win the league, you need stength in depth and two quality players for each position.
Injuries happen - ask Gollum.

By my reckonoing, that takes out all but 4 of the teams - and Spuds are not included in that 4.

Making any assumption on the first game / few games of the season is plain dumb - almost as bad as placing any emphhasis on pre-season friendlies.

After losing (just about?) ALL thier pre-season friendlies, Chelsea seem to have found a bit of form - lol!

Dirty 'Arry is just trying to emulate baconface and play mind games.
He's also pissed because we held his team to a draw, and refuse to sell him our cast-offs / excess to requirement players that would walk into his first team.

He may be right that is is QUITE POSSIBLE that City will not win the league.

Is is, however, a racing certainty that Spuds will also not win the league.

When we have the full team out all fit,, and they know each others names ,then if they dont play well fair enough for citicism. The media is probably upset we got a point,I think we will be different against Liverpool.

What gets me is the countless managers who summarise a stunning performance of the opposition's GK as "they were fortunate" and yet if it was their own team's striker scoring a hat trick he's "on fire and unplayable!".

I don't think we'll win the league either but
it's laughable to have our season judged on
one game. On that logic i'd say Blackpool will piss it.
The contradictions this weekend from various pundits
is also a joke.
When it concerns us it's "you can't buy it"
then in the next breath regarding Villa it's
"everyone knows you have to spend season
on season if you want to break the top four"
I'm quite optomistic we'll have a good season.

Good post and exactly what i think

I also agree with what has been said about the Spuds game and I also think that winning the EPL this year is probably out of our reach. Saying that I do think 3rd is realistic and although the EPL may not be ours this year I truly believe that we can go on and win the Europa league!

They’ll find it more difficult to win games if they set up as defensively as they did against us.

We'll find it difficult to win games against last years top 4 away. He ever think that was why Roberto set up defensively?
