Brilliant news. After some disappointing results recently this is a real morale booster for City Women. I'll certainly be adding the Women's season ticket option to my ticket, think it's only £35 on top of the regular season ticket price.

Small point lads, the name of the team is City Women rather than City Ladies. Might seem a bit daft to some but it seems to be important to the players and some of the supporters in terms of respect so we can hopefully extend them this small courtesy as part of our extended City Family.
Good point Damo.

Toni Duggan put a vid of here for BT sport on twitter today, sorry on my tab and cant link it but its a great watch and speaks voljmes about where we are aiming.

I watched them at the athelics ground which isnt great to be fair because the running track means your miles away. Im sure wheh the girls get to play at the minihad it will be so much better. Personally im loving our club is taking it so serious and plan to be the best. We already have a girls eds in place too. Which I feel is brilliant for us a club but also for the girls of Manchester who want to play the game.

That Duggan looks alright.

What's her favourite position?

She's a number 10, and I answered this way because a disrespecting of City Women is something that we'll deal with in the same way as disrespecting of the City Men's team. So I'm sure you were just asking how she enjoys playing football, and from what I've seen she plays the traditional 10 role.

City Women wouldn't be in their present form without the immense voluntary work put in by people who supported City Ladies

The 1950s called, it wants its old boy sexism back.

The 1990s called right after and asked for its joke back.

I really need to start ignoring these calls.

I totally agree. But the people involved in the club seem to prefer City Women for reasons of respectability and we think this is a small request. Absolutely nobody on here is taking away from City Ladies nor what they proudly achieved, it's just that I've seem a few people involved who think "Ladies" is old fashioned and patronising whereas "Women" is more up to date and reflective.
