What I like about the girls especially ours is that they have been given a platform to expand a game we all love.hello said:If I am honest I cant see me ever making my 500m trip to see the women play, but I do thing the WSL if thats the correct acronym have been very sensible having the season start as the premier league winds down. Interest may wain slightly this year due to world cup occupying some of our time but in non euro\world cup years i can see several people who live locally popping down to get their football fix in the close season. If the quality is a good as some of it seems and is cheap enough or free for season ticket holders then they are likely to go again. The last womens game I saw was doncaster against Arsenal about 10 years ago as it was on itv or something and from looking through a few highlights the quality is definitely coming on leaps and bounds.
I can only see positives of MCWFC being the best although I hope in time they drop the W. If and its happening now they become sporting icons to young girls who in turn fall in love with the game and they fall in love with blue that for me is worth every penny.
The way we are now as a club or girls will be the best, and I for one would defo go watch them in FA Cup finals etc as they are City
Yeah, I think it should just be MCFC as well, what's the need to differentiate, youngsters, both men and women, should just be able to say "I want to play for City", without the distinction being made. That's "holistic".
