The Club are holding open trials June 17 and 19 for the Women's development squad. More information and application form on the OS here: http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/MCWFC-news/2014/May/Development-Squad-trials?

I was wondering when the club would get around to this. Good for women's football and supports the club's push for more local involvement in the women's game. I just hope that the word gets out given this is only three weeks away.
 
I hope City women are better than they were 10 years ago, me and some mates whipped them in a 5 aside tourny at the Armitage centre. And we were hungover. Something tells me they are probably a lot better nowadays....

Do you dream of being the next Steph Houghton? Looking to join a girls’ football team?
Manchester City Girls will be holding pre-season trials at the end of June and start of July.

All sessions will be held at the East Manchester Academy on Grey Mare Lane and will be played on an all-weather surface.

There will be limited numbers invited to the trials and interest is expected to be high, so application forms will need to be received by 1pm Wednesday, 18 June.

Girls will need to bring a football kit, shin pads, boots, a plastic bottle of water and a waterproof jacket – please note no metal studs will be allowed, only moulded soles or Astroturf trainers.

There are five different age groups for the trials:

Under-9s – age 7/8 year-olds who meet the required age as of August 31 2014
Under-11s – age 9/10 year-olds who meet the required age as of August 31 2014
Under-13s – age 11/12 year-olds who meet the required age as of August 31 2014
Under-15s – age 13/14 year-olds who meet the required age as of August 31 2014
Under-17s – age 15/16 year-olds who meet the required age as of August 31 2014
Manchester City Girls Football Club is committed to the development of young players through the implementation of a comprehensive training programme and clear methodology structure that will provide players with the right environment to develop their game.

Pre-season trials for the age groups will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday 25 June/ Tuesday 1 July: 6pm-7.30pm – Under 9s and Under 11s

Tuesday 25 June/Tuesday 1 July: 7.30pm-9pm – Under 15s

Wednesday 26 June/Wednesday 2 July: 6pm-7.30pm – Under-13s

Wednesday 26 June/ Wednesday 2 July: 7.30pm-9pm – Under-17s

Players must attend both sessions for full assessment.
