This "apology" - anyone believe it's genuinely how she feels, or merely what she's been ordered to do?

I'm sorry Ms Duggan, I simply don't believe you. Error of judgement it may be, but the timing and content is unforgivable and she along with the other smirking player, should be moved on out of the club as soon as we are able and it suits us.

PR's been on the phone to help with her spelling.

Aww lovely she said sorry so all the happy clappers are licking her arse that's the problem with the club nowadays to fucking nice and have a bunch if parasites hanging of us with no passion for the club no wonder there's not an atmosphere at games

Maybe the 'happy clappers' are just the more forgiving amongst us, who view this incident as no more than a foolish mistake. The internet can be a wonderful tool for communication, but its ease of use can sometimes make us say or do things before we have time to consider the consequences. A bit like posting a comment on a football forum that you may later regret...

It may have been a foolish mistake but don't underestimate the damage she has done to the reputation of our club. There is quite a divide opening up amongst us fans between the traditional fanbase and some of our new supporters. What she has done is fuel that split and given more ammunition to those who hate us. God knows we have enough enemies out there already. Personally I am sick of being treated with contempt by some of the people earning a good living from City.

She has done absolutely no damage at all to the reputation of our club. None. Not even a bit. Nada. Zilch.

We're a nouveau riche club owned by a Middle Eastern Muslim Prince whose family fortune is built on oil and a horrific human rights records. Added to this, we've paid over the odds for average players and had the highest wage bill in the history of ANY sport let alone football and despite this needed epic collapses from both Man United and Liverpool to win our titles whilst failing the financial tests put in front of us by UEFA despite several inflated and/or dodgy deals designed to get around it. Our stadium is often deathly quiet and on some Champions League nights limping over three quarters full attendance despite a billion pound investment. Oh and on our most popular internet fansite we had to move a thread because our fans were calling a player for our Women's Team a slut, a whore and suggesting that she either be sacked and/or raped for posting a photo.

Let's just say that this whole "impressing other fans" ship sailed long ago.

This woman took a picture with a coach and put it on Twitter in an incident that will be forgotten about in about three days time and probably never mentioned or thought about by 99% of people in the discussion ever again.

One of the most laughable threads in Bluemoon history in terms of some of the posts and the general reaction. You people need to get a life, preferably one where any interaction with women is heavily monitored by a neutral party.

My point is that on the list of things that City are hated for either by opposition or their own fans, two City Women players getting a bit giddy at meeting a highly respected coach and putting a snap up without thinking it through is about reason #45373046210572 down the list.

I knew what your point was, agree with it as well.

Fair enough mate, but I just don't believe that she would have posted the picture, or even considered posing for the picture, if she would have had any idea of the outrage that would follow. She is a young girl who has been propelled into the limelight by the recent growth of interest in womens football and perhaps lacks the 'pr' protection that is usually available in the mens game.

Agree totally. I guess people get so wrapped up in something that they don't see themselves from the outside. We all do it, well, maybe not you. Nowt queer as folk and all that. Certain perspectives are scary/unobtainable yet no more extreme. Doesn't belong here this post probably.

Up the blues! The club is moving forward! or backwards.. but not standing still at least. Keep banging in the goals CityWomen.

In amongst all of the understandable grief, pain, torment and distress caused by this desperate tragedy, it appears to have gone unnoticed that her crime of indulging in a bowl of turtle soup was committed at the gaff of that despicable rag and kung-fu exponent, Eric Cantonese.

I only hope that the Club does the decent thing and gets the appropriate support groups, infrastructure and counselling services in place as quickly as possible to help everyone impacted by this traumatic event.

Some of the stuff written about her by so called City Fans was quite frankly appalling & embarasing ,

Never has more truth been told in a single rant. Call in Guinness.
