Maybe the 'happy clappers' are just the more forgiving amongst us, who view this incident as no more than a foolish mistake. The internet can be a wonderful tool for communication, but its ease of use can sometimes make us say or do things before we have time to consider the consequences. A bit like posting a comment on a football forum that you may later regret...

It may have been a foolish mistake but don't underestimate the damage she has done to the reputation of our club. There is quite a divide opening up amongst us fans between the traditional fanbase and some of our new supporters. What she has done is fuel that split and given more ammunition to those who hate us. God knows we have enough enemies out there already. Personally I am sick of being treated with contempt by some of the people earning a good living from City.

She has done absolutely no damage at all to the reputation of our club. None. Not even a bit. Nada. Zilch.

We're a nouveau riche club owned by a Middle Eastern Muslim Prince whose family fortune is built on oil and a horrific human rights records. Added to this, we've paid over the odds for average players and had the highest wage bill in the history of ANY sport let alone football and despite this needed epic collapses from both Man United and Liverpool to win our titles whilst failing the financial tests put in front of us by UEFA despite several inflated and/or dodgy deals designed to get around it. Our stadium is often deathly quiet and on some Champions League nights limping over three quarters full attendance despite a billion pound investment. Oh and on our most popular internet fansite we had to move a thread because our fans were calling a player for our Women's Team a slut, a whore and suggesting that she either be sacked and/or raped for posting a photo.

Let's just say that this whole "impressing other fans" ship sailed long ago.

This woman took a picture with a coach and put it on Twitter in an incident that will be forgotten about in about three days time and probably never mentioned or thought about by 99% of people in the discussion ever again.

One of the most laughable threads in Bluemoon history in terms of some of the posts and the general reaction. You people need to get a life, preferably one where any interaction with women is heavily monitored by a neutral party.

Well said. The overreaction I have seen on here and twitter is staggering . A mistake, bad judgement of course but my god some of the vile drivel.

Really is a wonder. I've seen it a lot in other instances (not relating to City) What is up with people on the internet.. to take the time to post hating shite. Am I noticing it because I disagree? Or is it really proportionate? - by which I mean the inane knee-jerk like reactions of people/ real sentiment. I have no way of knowing. I guess everyone is safe behind the keyboard comes to mind. But they are real opinions, or so it would seem.

She didn't damage the club in anyway, however our "fans" reactions have. Made us look like spoilt kid's who can't handle getting beat.

Amazing post.

Quite disappointed that she had to apologize. Nothing wrong with taking a picture with him. Like the poster above said, just a bunch or whiny kids.

A mistake is too small a word for it. He's the Manchester United manager ffs

My contract at work says I cannot join a rival company for 12 months. Is there nothing in there contract saying they shouldn't be juicing over the manager of our biggest rival?

Their wages come out of my pocket. Just f**k them both off please, now

Sad you really are, I would be ashamed if I was you.
