He was never going to sign with an Uzbek team. It was a publicity stunt by the club (Kuruvchi). He was actually there for some sort of UNDP thing if I remember correctly. But he nearly agreed to a 3 month loan with Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia. I believe Eto'o will make the move if enough money is offered. There's the racism issue and he isn't appreciated enough in Barca. I think Eto'o has what it takes to be the EPL's best striker.
