Citys american tour

Jonesie-

I'll be flying out to New York on the morning of the Sporting game, and we're scheduled to land at LGA just before 1pm. It looks from Google Maps, etc that it'll probably take us about an hour to get from there to our hotel (the Hilton Garden Inn on W 35th St.). Do you think I'd be pushing it time-wise to get into Manhattan, into my hotel and down to the Hatter for a swift one or two before it's time to head to Harrison?

Info for NY from the club.... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/American-Pre-season-tour/2010/July/New-York-fan-guide" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/American-Pre ... -fan-guide</a>

With only days remaining before the exciting pre-season tour of the US kicks off we have put together a fans guide for those supporters going stateside for the New York leg of the tour.
The guide includes recommendations of where to eat & drink in the Big Apple along with a busy schedule of events to help bring all the Blues together whilst in the City that never sleeps. Click here to download the guide in PDF format.

The New York Supporters club based at the Mad Hatter Bar have kindly put together a comprehensive list of activities to keep you entertained from Wednesday right through until Sunday, so it is definitely worth a visit!

Have the club payed for Batesy to go?

What the Club failed to mention is there are only 3 busses on Friday that hold a total of 120 people combined. There are 2 coaches for Sunday for Hatter regulars that hold 80. The busses are only one way and only take you as far as the Path train Station at the WTC anyway.
It is going to be far easier for anyone going from Manhattan to go via Path train. The nearest stop to the Hatter is 23rd St. and 6th Ave. (10 minute walk for your Nana) take to Journal Square and change to the Red Line which will take you directly to Harrison. The train stops right across from Red Bull Stadium and takes about half an hour depending on the Connection, and costs $1.75 each way. Check out the map link below.
NE, I'd catch a cab from the ESB for the $6-7, but I'm a well known lazy bleeder.
