I’m with you emotionally - It feels like that to us because we compare the skills, ability, age etc. of our player to players with different skill sets and, quite often, playing in different positions who were sold in different time periods for different reasons.
The reality is that sometimes you’ve got to free up a champions league spot, you need to free up some room in your salary budget and, while the market isn’t hot, best market price exceeds book valuation / posts a profit, and it all makes perfect sense to press go.

I'd guess about £50/ £60 mill net. Think we have about £50/60 mill coming from fringe players,plus Sancho money and possibly £65 mill ish from Bernardo. So I'd guess max £200 mill give or take gross spend.

I could be wrong but I don’t think it matters whether the Sane money came in last year, this year or next year because, my understanding is that, they’ve aggregated FFP over 3 years due to covid.
Any FFP experts please chime in and confirm / add detail. Thanks.
