City's Global Fanbase

my daughter goes to school in Timperley and I've got to say it is still absolutely rag infested.
Timperley is and always has been full of Blues, going right back to the 1960s when my Father grew up on the Broomwood.

There are loads of SeasonCard holders from Timperley. Don't know if it's still the same as I'm not a member there any longer but the majority of members of the Baguley and Brooklands Supporters' Club were from Timperley and Broadheath.

Two things I miss.

1. Seeing a City fan in Wales/London/Spain and shouting "good shirt mate" or stopping for a chat knowing almost for certain you'd be speaking to someone who was a diehard. I speak/shout at some people now and they look at me like I'm mental (probably right on that score, but for different reasons).

2. Finding the two or three City shirts tucked away in a sports shop in Rhyl or Reading and putting them to the front of the racks so it looks like a Manchester shop.

Weird, I know.

I understand completely. On a few occasions I've seen a man or woman in a City top and spoke to them and almost to a person all I got in reply was a blank stare or I just like how it looks/the colour etc.

At the last school sports day id say it was 9 united shirts for every one city shirt. one of the fun after 4 clubs was 100% united shirts. I really should consider moving her ;-)

When NBC got the American TV rights a few years back is when I fell in love with the Blues. Cannot recall what made me choose them but I am glad I did. The world takeover is in full motion, time to strap in cause it is gonna be one hell of a ride. From the Pittsburgh area BTW.

Ah; quick question. If you were to buy a copy of "Readers' Wives" (for the articles, obviously) and a copy of the U****d mag (for your mate of course), which one do you hide inside the other when you leave the newsagents?
Clearly the United magazine. As an aside, about 20 years ago I was in the Atlanta Airport waiting to fly home and I saw a bloke sitting reading a copy of Penthouse Letters, without a care in the world. Before that I always wondered who bought the porn mags in the news agents at airports. And he looked the type to be reading porn while waiting for a flight.
