I didn't realise it was the man himself, who presented the award to Merlin. No mention was made of that at the time. Why couldn't we have had it shown on the big screens?

Did not quite understand the announcement today , something like Colin Bell had 48 caps and Silva had now overtaken him . Does this mean caps whilst playing for City as surely other current and past players must have had more than 48 caps , Yaya for instance , Lampard definitely ( not sure he counts as on loan ) ?

Yes; it means full caps won while playing at City (not at other clubs).

Am I right in thinking that any minute now a fair few more will pass the King's total of 48 caps ?

Vinny, Dzeko, Kolorov, Hart, Zabs ??
