That's just a mental part on getting used to. It doesn't look wrong in my eyes. The wrong part is Etihad being blind on that dull navy color while using a white logo would've stand out more than it does now.

It was the Spurs badge not the shirt sponsors logo completely different things, Etihad control their own logo, if they say not white it won’t be white no matter how much you don’t like it.

No Nike controls the way they put the badge on the kit. If the want to cheap it out with having a crest around it for cheaper production cost that's their decision until someone from the club tells them not to. Which exactly have happened with Totteham. And we didn't.

What do you think a kit supplier is? A company who is giving money out for free? A kit sponsor is a sponsor as well. You represent their brand on your kit in exchange of money. Just like Etihad is a sponsor.

It doesn't work like that alone. A club can demand things just like the sponsor can. Some clubs demand their main sponsor in a certain colour to avoid conflicts on the shirt for example. Anyway this discussion is indeed boring. Hopefully the new city kit will look good.
