CL Final Venue | Stade de France named as new venue

This is just a drop in the ocean given what is actually happening but the final has to be taken off of Russia now.

European FA's and governments will apply the pressure on UEFA to get it moved.

I don't think we should punish Ukraine because Russia has or will invade it. On the contrary we should support Ukraine as far as we can. That said the security situation will probably not allow this, but to "take it off them" seems harsh and shows signs of surrender to the Russian machine.

And who are one of the main sponsors of the CL?

That's right, Gazprom.

And who owns 50% of Gazprom?

That's right, Putin and the Russian Government.

The Russian Government controls over 50 per cent of the Company's shares. Gazprom's shares are among the most liquid instruments in the Russian stock market. The Company's stock has the largest share in the RTS and MOEX Russia indexes.

UEFA have a decision to make when the sanctions are applied by the UK, the EU, America, and other countries around the World.

All Russian teams need to be banned from European Football. But will UEFA have the balls to do that, before they are told to do that?

If it goes ahead as planned and we qualified would Zinchenko be allowed to travel? Like how Micky Tarian wasn't allowed to Baku a few years ago?

Who mentioned punishing Ukraine?

'Take it off them' was referring to taking the final off of Russia.

A slow but sure land grab Putin brings him closer to Kiev and taking Ukraine back into Russia, so ending any possibility of Ukraine joining NATO, and having a NATO member on Russia's south West axis. Russia will also be able to control the Black Sea along the full length of Ukraine blocking any possible attack by sea from Turkey and other NATO countries along the Black Sea coast. The Baltic States look the next obvious target, with the aid of Belarus, but that would drag NATO into a war with Russia. Is Putin mad enough to do that?

Correct.
No. Not today. Rebel action first. I’m sure he’d like to annex all the way to Kaliningrad, but Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia might have a word or two to say about that…along with NATO!

Atm, Belarus is as far as they can project west, but who knows? He’s not getting any younger and his wet dream is a new USSR. TICK TOCK…

I'm sure they'd love to have a say, and as actual NATO members they'll obviously expect full support, but I'm not sure NATO will do anything other than bluster a lot, just like the UN will.

Anyway lets keep this thread on track, where will the CL final be played ?

It can't be in Russia now, not that I think we will be involved in it anyway.

What's happening on BM. First of all we have blown the title because of 1 loss in 4 months and now people are saying we won't get to the CL final? Why ever not? Please people have some faith and hope. As for where?...probably Istanbul to make up for last year. Defo wont be Russia. Not for 10 years at least.
