CL last 16 draw - Monaco

Perhaps then you need to look at your own interpretation of what you read rather than blaming the poster. And why do you object to the name MANCHESTER CITY being highlighted on a City forum (or am I being "arsey" again?). The fact is, the majority of City fans live in or around Greater Manchester and suggesting that travel from London is the best option for them is ridiculous. If you wish to see "arsey" you should go on Arsenal's forum and post the latest Manchester to Munich fares for them. Or maybe Manchester to Nurnberg ... an even better parallel with London to Turin. After all, think how helpful it would be to them? Why would they want to travel from their own city?
I think the point being made is that the post was presumed to be from a football supporter from Rome who was simply trying to offer generous help to fans of an English PL club. The suggestion may not have suited you personally, but the reply did come across as a bit of a cockjab.

Think Malpensa is the one which is further out. That will be our return flight
You think?

I think you're flying to Malpensa (MXP) with Flybe or Easyjet, and coming back is the 0823 train from Monaco, 12 50 in Milan, coach to Bergamo (BGY) and back with Ryanair at 1740. Do I win the prize? (I hope you're not the bloke who booked trains and hotel for the wrong Grodzisk in Poland....)

Well we got Monaco , according to your reasoning they will now be jumping joy alongside or the other realists on this thread , even though Bayern , Barca and Atletico are playing every bit as inconsistently as ourselves , and your comment about not coping with anything not wholly possible is f*cking hilarious , i was at Halifax away in the 3rd round of the FA Cup and many other disasters (like losing 5-0 at Craven Cottage at HALF-TIME) don't start f*cking questioning my ability to cope.
You do not sound as though you are coping, sound a bit tense to me. Watch that blood pressure
Do you really think Monaco will be worried they got us? They are indeed very likely to be jumping for joy. Just my opinion old timer. xx

Thanks Steviemc
I hate to say it as I'm an Irish Liverpool fan living in Rome.
I have my own travel and tour company here in Italy and run tours for everyone, from school groups to sport fans.
I have bus partners throughout Italy/France/Germany and also Austria.
I did some buses last year here in Rome for Manchester fans(do I have to say city) and I believe it was a well organized great afternoon/evening.
300 Celtic fans from Milan to play juve a few years ago and a few smaller teams from Europe.
Flights to Genoa,2 nights,transport(2/2.5hrs)to and from including match ticket would be less than 200£.
I could also set up transport from Nice center(pub) to the stadium and back if anyone wants!?

You been drinking neat Vimto, you seem a bit wired

Decent draw for us as could have been much worse but i'm sure Monaco will also be happy they've got us too.

Neat Vimto is great! Nothing wrong with that! Won't hear a word against it ...

The post you quote was a reply to someone who was wired. My original posting reminded people to consider the cost of their whole journey, not just the apparently "cheap" cost of a flight from a distant remote departure airport to a remote arrival airport. Apparently, the person who posted that London to Turin suggestion is being helpful and I'm not. Fine, book it then and see how much you end up paying in total. Its your money to waste. You see, I'm experienced in the travel industry too. You'd be amazed how often this happens ... people see a fare afew quid cheaper from London ... book it ... then find out how much more it will cost them to get to Stansted/ Gatwick, park or pay rail fares, maybe stay overnight, buy extra meals, then travel on from the overseas city to where they really wanted to go in the first place. It's usually much cheaper and easier to book Manchester to Nice with a flight change en route if required. Just do all the the sums before you book.

Interesting to note that writing MANCHESTER CITY on Bluemoon indicates that you're a bit of a cockjab. Thanks for that valuable insight, steviemc.
