CL Last 16 vs Barcelona (feb. 24 & mar. 18)

Why are so many on here running scared of barca? If we ever want to move forward as a team in eurpoe we need to to embrace these matches and give our all. We cannot expect to reach the latter stages of this competition by running awag from the big teams and having a defeatist mentality.

I see it more as showing progress. Last year we got to the last 16, if we had gotten a team like Porto or Monaco then our chances of at least getting into the last 8 would be big. Bigger than now at least.

haha people are seriously having a debate about probability!! XD

Christ, I just want to know where I'm getting pissed on the 18th!!

I think everyone needs to chill out and realise we aren't going to get an easy game in the CHAMPIONS league knock out stages.

Seriously, people believe in some way the balls are fixed and the people pulling them out are obviously in on it.

Cast your mind back to when our very own Billy McNeill did the draw in the group stages, get him to pick out cold/hot/electrified balls to ensure a certain draw he couldn't even open the f*cking things and hold them correctly up to the camera ffs

Fantastic draw this, and far enough away that the likes of Aguero and Kompany should be back fit and firing. The eyes of the football world will be upon us, and I reckon we're capable of causing a bit of a shock. Bring it on.

Lionel Messi after CL draw: I always beat Aguero....

at FIFA

I know I know, kind of a misleading title but you still clicked.

Monday's Champions League draw has pitted Barcelona and Manchester City against each other, and that means Lionel Messi will take on his great friend Sergio Aguero.

The pair teamed up together during the summer to guide Argentina to the World Cup final, but they enjoy a keen rivalry off the pitch when it comes to the video game of FIFA.

Messi revealed as much in a playful Facebook message after the draw.

He posted a picture of the pair together with the message: "Looking forward to playing in the next round of the UEFA Champions League. It'll be really nice to face my friend Sergio Aguero as I always beat him at FIFA, but let's see what happens on the pitch."

Let's see indeed.

Really? That's definitely to our advantage although my guess is that Enrique will still prioritise the CL tie over the Classico. What are our fixtures like around the two legs? Most of our big games are in April and January aren't they?
