CL Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool A Apr 4th - H Apr 10th

Another thing that is being totally overlooked is the responsible way that we have sold the tickets, with our opponents being just 40 miles up the road it is quite reasonable to assume their fans will try to get tickets anywhere in the ground. By limiting the initial ticket sales to supporters who have a previous history of buying tickets we have reduced the risk of infiltration from the dippers. For example I wanted two tickets for the game but up until this morning I could only apply for one, in the end I have missed out but there is no way that I would split myself up from my son.

So the game is a sell out, over two weeks until it's played and we still get shit about not being able to fill the ground.

All it does is highlight the egregious standard of journalism in Liverpool. What pricks they are for writing that article about ticket sales yesterday and then the next day the game is sold out. But I am sure the journalists (why am I even using that word) concerned will be sacked after spouting such crap???. I suggest that they are exiled with Warner and Smith over to Australia and can't come back for a year!!!!!....haha.

To be fair I wouldn't have been surprised if there had been plenty of seats unsold until after the first leg was played, with the derby a few days before you are looking at forking out at least £100 to watch both games. Say we won the first leg 3:0 and money was tight you could understand people holding off. Also consider that the dipper fans haven't had to shell out for a League cup run including a trip to Wembley.

The fact the ground is sold out this early should be applauded rather than criticised.

An MCFC business dev manager just posted on a Facebook thread that was slagging us of, ‘City also sold all hospitality in 20 mins’...
Amazing if true

I spoke to hospitality today... all the hospitality at the ground is definitely all gone. There are some corporate options being held in Spinningfields with a coach transfer to the ground before the game. Sounded a bit pricey though!

So after the Sun, Daily Fail also ran with ooohh City struggling to sell tickets ... and Jake Humphrey (BT Sport) sets them right ...

Wow. Thats knocked me for six. I loathe this slimeball in the same way i loathe ferris. Can it really be true that he’s a decent fairminded chap after all.

I am pretty certain this is not the first time Jake Humphreys has defended City this season over vacuous claims over empty seats/people leaving early.
