I think so too, but how much apology is enough? I get the sense that the folk who want him cancelled want him cancelled and are not really open to changing their minds - he might as well do a 'fuck you' apology, or no apology.
It doesn’t really matter. Ultimately their opinion, ditto with anyone who says “don’t care what he said, I like him” is meaningless in itself. It’s a choice on behalf of those that employ him - some are keeping him and some aren’t, the latter of which appearing to be motivated by other reasons than just his actions on this.
