I'd love to see the reaction of every single one of the petition signers if they were punched in the face by a senior colleague and was told no action would be taken because he's more popular than them.

Fact is in nearly every job in Britain, if you punch someone you'll get the sack. If Clarkson has hit this guy the BBC have no choice but to sack him, particularly given his track record and 'final warning'.

I don't get what the fuss is all about. I am intrigued as to how far the public would allow a star to go before they turn on him.

Id punch the colleague back. Then make up and go for a pint with them in all probability.

The methods some people will employ in order to demonise others; to turn them into a social pariah or worse, have them feel the full
