Criminal record for speeding?

Evidence if that please. Unless you're making it up again.

I have a fast car. Two actually. Three of you include the Mrs. Mine are Range Rover Vogue (V8), Mustang 5 litre V8 and the Mrs had a Gramd Cherokee 5.7 litre.

Maybe one day you'll be able to have a nice car as well. You boring twunt.

Here you are.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/top-gear/11171472/Jeremy-Clarkson-admits-receiving-points-on-licence-after-speeding.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/top ... eding.html</a>

No Google button on your computer?

I think you fell for that.

A minor offense like speeding doesn´t carry a criminal record.

It does, but it is disregarded for most purposes such as background checks.

Nevertheless speeding is a criminal offence, and it is recorded.

And that means if you have a conviction for speeding you have a criminal record.

And although the points will leave your licence after a few years, you can be sure the record of the crime remains on the police computer for all time.

I must be the luckiest man in Nato then as both my speeding charges weren´t recorded.

I dislike Top Gear because it glorifies fast cars and their qualities such as acceleration and handling at speed round corners.

This can only encourage a pitiful and stupid minority of motorists to attempt to emulate such driving in their own cheap and heavy mass produced cars on public roads.

We see such idiots daily.

There are rules against showing irresponsible drinking on soap operas and other programmes because some immature and impressionable people might think it is a clever thing to do.

I think similar rules should apply to car programmes so we don't put ideas into the minds of the moronic minority who endanger, kill and injure people on our roads.

Putting an oaf like Clarkson, a man with a criminal record for speeding, on our screens to encourage boy racers and middle aged family saloon driving wannabe Lewis Hamiltons is irresponsible and I don't think the BBC should do it.

Was hoping you'd post that.

You stated he has a criminal record for speeding.

Points on a license is not a criminal record and doesn't show up on a CRB check poppet.

If you can have a nice car, why wouldn't you?

And with petrol at 16p a litre, why wouldn't you get the big engines?

I certainly would, and did, a few years ago, but now make do with an ancient Ford Focus.
A V8 Rangie would be my first choice too, and a 1966 Mustang for posing.
16p a litre? I think I'd put up with that sharia shit for some of that!

Madonna fell off the stage at some daft awards show.

Anyone notice a similarity. ?
They're both insufferable c**ts?

Whilst you are indeed correct. I was also aiming towards both were set up to generate maximum publicity for them.

Why are loads of people (not necessarily on here) defending him?

I guarantee if someone punched you at work that you would be happy to see them sacked.

I don't think pulling Madonna backwards down a flight of stairs was generated for publicity. She was lucky not to break anything

Most would hit them back and leave it at that. Disagreements happen all of the time between people, especially when booze is involved. Many on here are of an upbringing or a generation where hitting somebody isn't a huge deal that people need to get their knickers in such a twist about.
